How Frank Lampard finished "TOP FOUR" in 2019/20 Season ?

Chelsea Football Club is delighted to announce Frank Lampard as our new head coach. One of the greatest players in our history, during his long and illustrious career, Lampard returns to Stamford Bridge having signed a three-year contract. Have the club said to you, it's top four, this is what we need from you? No, no they haven't said that and I don't think they need to say that because I think it's very clear that we are a club that generally, barring a couple of seasons in recent years and a lot of recent years, have managed to be in top four or winning titles or winning whatever. So I don't think, you know, one of the benefits I say is that I know the club, I know the standards and what he's expected, so it wouldn't be a conversation I would need to have. I understand that that's where we should be. Stephens, Robinson! Robinson, done well to deliver and it's mid-swept. Who is really looking here for Moutinho's cross? He's onside. Mason Mount. Oh that's just... Mason Mount, he does get in on the act. A bit set up for Alexander-Arnold, oh wonderful. But it's not going to count. Again, it does come back again. All the way for Firmino. Chelsea have a penalty. Here comes Jorginho against Matt Ryan. Phil Chelsea, Phil to Chelsea. And they're surely on their way now to a first home Premier League victory under Frank Lampard. Hudson-Odoi looks for the direct route through to Tammy Abraham and he got there ahead of Ghanou, come a long way! Willingham gets it through here, mounts it through! And makes it 2-0! Bucks tearing through another Premier League defeat. Takes it on. We're forcing it in. Low turn, oh he got himself into real difficulties there. He's let Pulisic in. Punished! Christian Pulisic makes him pay with his first goal for Chelsea. Tom Kowalski puts his team under pressure. Pulisic on the charge again. Christian Pulisic looking to go all the way. Well, what a day this is turning into for Captain America. They've got all these defenders to do as it's... Whip back in! And he's got the hat-trick! Christian Pulisic! What a night for him! He's shown here tonight why he should be a fixture in this team. A hat-trick! Willingham. Sides to Hamilton, what a... The other side, he's got... Jorginho has steered that one round to Tammy Abraham! Catches one foot off guard! And that is a finish of perfection! I think we've just seen the pass of the season there by Jorginho. Pulisic with a header! Out. What a spectacular effort and another top draw save! Abraham pulls it across and Pulisic is there to make it 2-0! Carrying on his scoring feat from Turf Moore! Delated lead. Penalty has been recommended. His under-19 colleague with Spain, he does beat it! De La Pera's ball inflicts on... And it's the save! It's Pulisic. Christian Pulisic. But Jorginho. That was better. It's Tammy Abraham! Taken some time in coming! Chelsea have the breakthrough! Pulisic. It's Christian Pulisic! Good save! Pulisic on the score-sheet again! Alokante is on the run. He's quick. And he's going to go in. Sits up for the shot. And there he goes. Great strength and determination. Of course. Shoot is the demand. It's a hard press. Wilkins inside! Oh my goodness! fireworks in West London for the return of John Terry. He made over 700 appearances. Abraham! Chelsea in front. Tammy Abraham back to Haunt. Aston Villa. Now Mohamed with a cross. And it's gone in. It's been bundled in. Abraham, chested down. And volleyed home magnificently by Mason Mant. What a goal that was! It's Willian. It's another terrific save by him, who gathers at the second attempt. Hidden at full stretch. But somehow, Willian's attempt kept out. Sidibe's ball in! And he's had us in! It's Duncan Ferguson's Everton. Toward his side, a little bit of time. Caused problems. Calvin Lewin makes it 2-0. Kovacic threw a crowd of players and in. What a strike from Matteo Kovacic. Still Tom Davies goes. And it's bundled in by Calvin Lewin. Scooped in towards Mason Mant. First chance for Chelsea. Away by Francis. Not too far. And Emerson! Point-blank save from Manteo. Points to away. That's Belicueta. No flag. Gosling! Oh, it's in! Chelsea's first ever visit to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was as hotly contested as any London derby between the two sides. Willian wants to get it on his right foot and let fly. Raptors. On VAR say so. Penalty. Golden opportunity to double their advantage on the stroke of half-time. Which he does. Unerringly. It's red for Song. He does shoot. For Chelsea and for Frank Lampard in particular. And he has finished magnificently. Pop up Mason Mant. Tavier ends. Now Redman! This time he makes sure. Back by Zouma. And it's a tap for Laquetta. And Chelsea start well against Brighton yet again. Trying to get to it. Wait for Jorginho. Jorginho puts Chelsea in front. Able to work so well. That's Belicueta. Abraham couldn't get there. Hudson-Odoi could. First Premier League goal for Chelsea. Ode to Maxima. Back in there to watch for that. Christmas. Just a late blue burst between them. And there is Chelsea's centre-half. David Luiz who played with Frank Lampard. Pass. Abraham is relatively smooth. Penalty. And win against Chelsea's number two. The Chelsea dugout. Yeah, going mad. The best. It's a great shot back in there. And Barclay. Alonso! What a Chelsea goal! It is Alonso! And James. Desi. Pedro! What a great save. And Alonso. Chelsea have equalised. He's second. Chelsea second. Williams. Ball. This is Pedro. Mason. Mass! In by Azpilicueta. And there's the... And straight from the bench. Giroud. And it's Giroud again on the turn. That. This is some turnaround from Chelsea. Olivier Giroud. This is called in. And Fernandinho got a very good match. Stake there though. With men. Pulisic. He's through here. Can he finish this? Christian Pulisic. You bet he can. The American has done it again for Chelsea. Bit of a smash and grab right. It's a good one. And it's in. Brilliant free kick. Matt Sterling. What is the post? Fernandinho couldn't get it. Pulisic! Off the line. And how does that stay out? Wow. But it has. And a red card. Yep. He's never missed a Chelsea penalty. And he keeps that record going. It was a great spot kick. An insult is added to injury now because Pulisic has won a penalty. Willian. Gerrard Beyan. And turn. Willian takes. So it's brilliant. He gets the luck of the post. Trying to get the ball out from underneath his feet. And finds Giroud. Who finds the corner. First blood for Chelsea. Olivier Giroud. Mariano with intent. Kapu came across. Brought him down. And for the second successive game. It's the restart. And is again. Into the roof of the net. To double Chelsea's advantage. One of them is Barkley. 3-0. Magnificent finish from Ross Barkley. Gary Cahill. Willian's not going to stop. No, doesn't have to stop. Cut back and gone. Olivier Giroud in. But that's desperately unfortunate. For Crespo. Ballon d'Or for Pulisic. Pulisic. A delight of a finish from the informed American. Over the pitch. Driving at Palace again. Teeing up. Willian. Zaha picks it up for Palace. Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Through to Tami Abraham. Who finds the corner. The flag stayed down. Chelsea have a third on hold again. Touched him by Benteke. He has the shot. To Steven's cross. Oh, and the header is planted in. Jose Teixeira's cross. Bring down by Pulisic. And it glances off the crossbar. That's a good ball. And there's the opening goal in first half. Stoppage time. Olivier Giroud. Gets it right this time. But first, the final Anfield game of this historic season. The Liverpool Football Club. Chelsea to Grace Viqueira. The shot's on. Oh, what a shot. It's Alexander-Arnold. And he's done it again. Swings it across the front wall. And the chance to fix it. Oh, and Willian. By Giroud. As the ball dropped. And that's given Chelsea a bit of a lift. Attack so far in the second half. There it is. It's Pulisic trying to make one. Really outstanding. From Pulisic. Good speed here. Pulisic, can he finish this one? Chelsea back in it. And pressing for the Champions League. Jones in the middle. Behind him. Upside against Crystal Palace. Back to Neto. Caballero backpedalling. Chelsea keep it up. Mason Mount. Provides the moment. Finds the Chelsea. Coming through there. And Giroud comes through here. Touches it beyond Rui Patricio. And scores! Brilliant from Olivier Giroud.
