Scariest feature I've ever attempted on a bike!

You know when you do things and you're like, is this a good idea?
Holy s**t balls. Possibly one of the biggest rock slabs anyone's ridden on a bike.
I get the feeling I'm not supposed to be in there.
We're going on a boat. It is bright and early on a boat.
So we got a ferry across the lake and then we missed the cable car up the mountain.
We then waited for a few hours and then got a taxi service to the top of the mountain.
Paid 120 euros for a two-person taxi.
Apparently there was a really good trail down above Lake Garda.
It's only taken us five hours to get here.
This great? Yep.
Whoa. Oh the view. Whoa. It's pretty full on.
Christ. My days. I'm to ride like quite precise.
You want to go fast. You've no idea what's coming.
You can't really go slow.
The glens in front. Irish friend.
Used to race World Cup. Run Red Bull Rampage a few times believe it or not.
So he's pretty handy on a bike.
Yeah I wasn't expecting that.
You need like full concentration. Good tyres, good brakes.
Looks like we're going through some trees now.
Oh my god. I can't fit under that.
Oh no.
This is wild. One of the more technical bits of riding I've done.
Do you not want a puncture? No I feel so much like I've got a puncture.
Oh no. You got a puncture? Yeah.
Onwards. Onwards.
Whoa. Yeah.
Ow. What could go wrong?
Famous last words.
Oh no. It's that f***ing fog.
Oh f***s sake. I had a plug in my tyre that's suspected to come out.
Tyre's going down. It's a shame because now the trail is getting better.
But we'll still ride. Maybe it'll seal.
How you feeling? Well maybe this is a testament to Michelin tyres.
It's trying to seal. You can see it's trying to jizz itself.
We'll keep going then. We'll see if we can get down.
We'll try and ride at high speed.
We've still got pressure. Yeah I think it's pretty sealed.
There's no idea what's coming up here but oh wow look at this.
This is cool.
Try to ride fast but be careful this rear tyre.
It's got like 15 psi and that's an index.
It's still holding pressure.
Oh a gate.
Oh god.
Surfing across boulders.
This is definitely the longest rock garden I've ever ridden.
My riding is so compromised.
I'm trying to keep my weight on the front wheel while still trying to ride fast.
We have no CO2, no pump, no way of fixing a puncture now.
And the trail is so rocky and jagged so there is a high risk of punctures.
Me and Glenn are just so clever.
So well prepared.
Englishman and Irishman out on a bike ride.
No preparation.
Just two lads having fun in Italy.
Coast trail.
Yeah this one's pretty good.
Oh it's so loose.
Whoa.
You all good?
What's around there?
Well it's just a little loose.
My god.
There's like zero grip.
All the boulders are just moving underneath your wheels.
You have to keep moving.
Glenn's hopping his wheel around the corners as am I.
It's a flow trail.
Oh.
Oh he's down.
That hurt.
I've seen this stuff in a while.
Bike is so quiet as well.
Whoa.
Oh my god that view.
Don't get distracted.
Oh no.
That was tight.
Wow.
Yes boy.
That's sick.
Alive.
Both of us alive.
Literally feel like I'm behind enemy lines.
Found some or spotted some really cool
thing from the bottom of the valley to come and ride.
I get the feeling I'm not supposed to be in there.
It is so steep.
Oh.
I'm speechless.
What in.
What in god's name.
I think we should ride down it.
What do you reckon?
I'm pushing up now and it's dry and it's really grippy and it's about.
I don't even want to know what angle this is but
I don't know if the camera will do it justice but it's very steep.
It's hurting to push up.
I have to take breaks.
And I saw this on Google Maps and I was like I wonder if this is like gravel or something
but then I saw this carving or paint like so visible on Google Maps.
I was like oh it's a slab and this is the scale of it.
You know when you do things and you're like is this a good idea?
I think it will be a good idea.
How are the trees growing out of the rock?
Like there's trees in it.
What?
That pressures a bit.
So we've pushed up as high as I can go.
In this first run I'm going to do a bit of a speed test
and see more so what the grip is like and how it rides
because if I just release the brakes down this without knowing how the rock
like the characteristics of the rock is with my tires
it's not a good idea.
I have no idea what to expect.
I'm just going to weave myself through some bushes.
Okay we're onto the rock now.
Oh my days.
Oh lord.
Oh I'm breaking.
I'm breaking.
Oh.
Whoa you travel and cover some ground.
I just covered about 200 meters.
Crazy experience.
Okay now I know what it feels like.
I'm going to get back up.
Whoa full lock.
It's so hard to manual and keep the front wheel up.
I'm not sure if videos will do this justice how steep it is.
I'm trying to get more comfortable manualing on the back wheel down the rock
but it's something I'm very new to especially on this steep surface.
It's kind of hard to find a balance point
because obviously you get the back wheel off, you're on the back wheel
and you pick up speed pretty quick.
So it's a very fine balance.
Yeah okay.
Whoa what a rush.
What an absolute rush.
Jesus my heart is pumping.
