Welcome! Legend and I have a really exciting video planned for you guys today. Many of you have asked
to see the grounds here and today Legend and I are going to be taking you out on a trail ride.
We're going to show you some of our favorite spots here on the farm. We're starting out our ride in
the back of the property. All these beautiful yellow wildflowers to my left. It's a perfect
day for trail riding. It's in the 60s today and a nice breeze. Hardly any flies. Yeah you're like
that, huh? It's been up in the 90s lately and super humid so there's been a ton of flies out and I
know Legend's enjoying the relief. So we made it to the entrance which is just behind me here
to our first destination. You ready Legend to show them?
So this is Glacier Rock. It's this really incredible spot where this giant rock is out
in this huge open field. There's some beautiful flowers on the other side
and there's all these interesting carvings of different people that have visited here
throughout the years. I've never climbed up to the top of this rock so I'm gonna let Legend here
have a little grasp, put his halter on, and we're gonna climb up to the top and see what's up there.
Oh look at this. This is really cool. So here's a feather I just found. This is uh looks like a
red-tailed hawk feather. There's a lot of red-tailed hawks up here. Must be up in these trees around
here. It's pretty cool. I'm gonna keep that as a souvenir. So we made it to the top. Some of our
view. See around another rock over here. Look how far down we made. Looking over the edge. It's up here.
Look at these. Well that was fun. I'm gonna head back down and see how Legend's doing.
Heading out to this beautiful open field. It's a perfect place to canter. What do you think buddy?
You want to do a little canter? Let's go for a little run. So we're at Shady Lane Trail and we're gonna
continue on to our next destination. Back into the wild. This is a good boy. So we're heading down here
and then we're gonna be cutting up to a trail that leads us to
our little creek in the woods. Got a cool spot there. Look at these big vines. These things are
huge. What do you hear Legend? He says I heard a little deer or something. What do you see over
there buddy? Oh is that a deer? Is that a deer over there? That was a good boy. That's okay.
It's not gonna get you. So you saw Legend spook back there. There's a lot of wildlife around here.
We've got a lot of deer and wild turkeys. Sometimes the deer will sleep along the edge of
the trail and then they'll jump up when they see us riding by. It startles them and that can spook
the horses a little bit. Legend's a pretty good guy overall. He's a pretty solid citizen when it
comes to trail riding. We're almost to our next trailhead and we're going to be heading down to
our next destination. So right behind me here is this old tree that Legend and I pass a lot when
we're riding in this trail and I love this tree. It's such a beautiful, majestic, just kind of
guardian of the forest watching over us. I grew up hiking in the forest a lot and there's something
about being surrounded by trees that just feels like home. Emerald Creek is such a beautiful spot.
It's really peaceful here with the running water. Hi. You're giving me some kisses? I'm gonna take
another field. This is not the field we were in earlier. There's a lot of different ones here at
the farm. This one is the jump field. There's a lot of cool cross-country fences set up for people to
come out and practice. Legend and I are not much of jumpers, but we do come out here and canter
up and down the hills, work on his wind capacity and building his strength. We're going to be heading
up to another little patch of woods, going through the woods, over a water crossing, and then we're
going to be at our next destination. Many of you have only seen Legend as a fleabitten gray, which
is what he is now, but he actually was a really dark gray, really pretty dappled gray, still very
handsome now, but when he was growing up he was pretty dark and then dappled out as many grays do
and then turned into a fleabitten gray. That looks like we've arrived. This is a magical spot that's
tucked away in the forest. Got these remnants of an old house, some old tools, and a little bit of
history from years gone by. I always wonder, who were the people that lived here and what were their
stories? It's incredible to think about how life has changed and all these remnants are a part of
someone's life hidden away in the forest. So I'm going to head over here and get Legend and then hop
on. We're going to continue our ride. So I'm going to let Legend have a little grass and relax here
for a minute while I go visit Lola. He is deeply afraid of this animal. The first time we saw her
he would not get anywhere near her pen and he's progressively getting braver, but he's very, very
afraid of her. I'm not sure if it's the smell or the look or what it is, but it's a pretty brave guy
except when it comes to Lola, huh? Can I have a little grass? So this is Lola. Lola is a seven-year-old
pig. She came here when she was two years old and she's got kind of an interesting story. She was
actually a house pig at a farm and they had ducks and chickens and Lola here was a master at escaping
and getting the eggs and she would eat all the chicken eggs. So the farm didn't really want her
eating all her chicken eggs so they gave her to us here at this facility and she's been living
happily here ever since. So it was a really fun adventure. Legend and I had a lot of fun. I hope
you guys enjoyed coming along with us on this journey. If you did, you can like and subscribe.
It's almost dinner time so I'm going to take Legend up and give him his dinner.
