Exploring 'Hot Tub of Despair': Deadly Underwater Mystery in Gulf of Mexico

Today, we’re diving into one of the most perilous and unique discoveries of recent years: the Hot Tub of Despair. Unearthed by the Ocean Exploration Trust back in 2015, this hazardous feature is nestled more than 1,000 meters, or about 3,300 feet, beneath the Gulf of Mexico. It spans roughly 30.5 meters (100 feet), across and plunges down 3.7 meters (12 feet).
