I rented a brand new BMW R 1250 GS and took it for a 2 day ride in the Sierras west and north of Madrid. This area is not well known to motorcyclistd other than the locals that enjoy these roads on roadsters and sports bikes rather than a big BMW R 1250 GS. I spend the night in a El Escorial which is know best for the The Royal Site of San Lorenzo de El Escorial (Real Sitio de San Lorenzo de El Escorial) which is commonly known as Monasterio del Escorial. On 2 November 1984, UNESCO declared The Royal Seat of San Lorenzo of El Escorial a World Heritage Site. These are impressions from my second day towards the Sierra de Guadarrama (north of Madrid). The monastary in the video is the Monasterio de Santa María de El Paular (Santa María de El Paular Monastery). The El Villar Reservoir (Embalse de El Villar) can be seen later in the video. I had to catch a flight back home and return the bike before that. If anyone is interested in renting a motorycle in this area I can recommend IMT Bikes in (or just outside of) Madrid. Well, I hope you like it! Like the video? Leave a thumbs up or a comment. Subscribe if you like to see upcoming videos.
