so our friend mike told us about this
location so thanks mike
yep today we're going to do something a
little bit different but what we've been
told is extremely pleasurable
we're going to venture deep
into sarah's crack
so let's take a look
so how far are we gonna end up walking
on this
uh around five miles
one way
round trip oh okay
and is there a prize at the end there is
a prize at the end oh nice

so

[Music]
all right so as you've seen we've been
walking about a mile now and the scenery
is finally starting to change
we're going between
the hillsides look at the caves
yeah
and it's along the mountainside we've
been seeing it looks like a whole bunch
of tailings but they're they're not
there's just different colored rock
that's coming out
and apparently somebody we've just seen
said that there's some bighorn sheep
that they saw
but i haven't seen them yet no we've
been keeping our eyes
up in those hills but haven't seen
anything yet and the temperature now
that we're in the canyon part is dropped
drastically it feels really nice

[Music]
i'm going down
all right
oops mind your mike doesn't okay yeah
i've had to move mine
your turn okay
you child
so there you have it
that was sarah's crack
wow
it's even more beautiful than i was
imagining
so this slot canyon also
is a waterfall or was a waterfall now
dry
it's pretty amazing isn't it
this is it
is very reminiscent of some
place in death valley we've been
you imagine like the water rushing down
over the millennia and hitting the sides
and eroding it
and just causing all of this
pretty incredible
[Music]
[Music]
do
[Music]
so
[Music]
[Music]
[Music]
[Music]
do
[Music]
[Music]
here we've made it
look at that
so angie is right
there is an absolute treasure at the end
of this trail
and this is it
the mighty colorado river
yeah this is just the rock formations
this is where you just this is where you
need to be
just kind of
sitting out with nature taking in
the little things that are so beautiful
that we
we kind of overlook a lot like right now
the sun
just glinting off the lake
no more hens
i take it there more hens
you can actually see how much the water
levels dropped you can see the line on
the rocks right
i don't know if that will come out on
the camera with the sun so it is a good
at least uh two feet or maybe even more
and that's over this whole size of lake
mead so that's uh that's pretty
significant lightning or not lake mead
with lake havasu
sorry yeah lake mead is almost empties
that's
that's even more tragic but
this beautiful scenery
and i know there was a uh
there was a bunch of puns i had in my
mind as we were doing that whole trek
but
i'm sure you guys have a whole bunch
that you've made up to so we'll just
keep it kind of clean and
and sit and enjoy this because it is
quite a good hike
scenery wise and it leads to this which
is uh it is breathtaking
two and a half miles in
the hike we took
a boat speeding past
and now
for some lunch
[Music]
all right we have finished up we're back
at camp now and we hope you enjoyed
being in sarah's crack as much as we did
did you know
that sarah is an acronym for special
activities recreation area
true story
and we also want to give a special shout
out to some amazing people that we met
on the trail today
eric and peg
how's it going
also
val
and eddie
yep

explore put another pin in the atlas and
we will see you on our next adventure
