Crafting an Archer’s Thumb Ring out of PVC Pipe
Hey everyone! Here's a thumb ring I made for someone at the Sammamish knapp-in seven years ago. Be sure to check out the Puget Sound Knappers to see if there is a Knapp-in near you where you can learn the skills I showcase on the channel.
There was a lot of background noise when I filmed this, so I ended up scrapping the sound and uploading it my other channel. It has since grown on me and I think it works fine here on the main channel. This ring is a good DIY version of a hard resin or plastic thumb ring that you can adjust the size of with a little heat.
The PVC I used is Formufit furniture grade pipe. I get mine from HomeDepot.com, where they offer ship to store. It is tougher than regular plumbing or electrical PVC and has colors built in. It is my favorite PVC for all my PVC projects.
Thanks for watching and enjoy!
