Ferrari 488 vs McLaren 720S Drag Racing down the 1/2 Mile at Wannagofast

Morning everybody, it's Brooks from dragtimes.com. It's 6 a.m. The morning of the want-to-go fast in Immokalee, Florida I got I'm bringing out the McLaren 720s and the Ford GT Got a bunch of stuff to pack up and get in here And then I got about five or six friends coming over to cruise over there It's about an hour and a half drive out there racing starts at 9 a.m. And You know, we're gonna get some good runs in with the 720 and the Ford GT Since the Ford GT's got zero storage luckily the most versatile supercar the 720s is gonna hold everything my stuff's we got We got helmet Camera bag about 40 pounds of camera gear and cameras and GoPros overnight bag. We're staying in Naples For GT got both cars in the charger ready to go. Plus we got Adam's stuff and some other people's stuff, too they want to bring out the tire warmers for 720s That just went uh made some big power on the dyno, so we'll see how that goes too So let's load up and wait for him to get here and then head out Everybody broke some back times here. It's super windy. We're out here at the half-mile want to go fast event We got Lewis here with the Ferrari 488. We ran yesterday with the Ford GT I'm not sure if you've seen that video yet or not, but not sure what order would from the videos up But now we got McLaren 720s Ferrari 488 obvious 720s faster But nonetheless, we're out here and kind of running out of matchups to put together So we figured we'd do it. You also got a Porsche running like 166. Yeah turbo turbo s-porsche ran 166 Is it coming off the line pretty good? Yeah Wow, so maybe we do that versus 720. I'll make fun. See if I can catch it, right? So, all right, so we're gearing up we got the cameras on and we're gonna run the 488 versus the 720 I've done quarter-mile races 724 you before but now we got twice the distance to go So, let's see how it goes I'm gonna give you a little jump off the hit and then I'll see how long it takes me to catch you cool Let's do it. All right, buddy Oh McLaren 720s first Ferrari 48 not really close at all However Ferrari's got a replacement coming the Ferrari f8 tributo and I'm actually pretty interested in that car It's got 700 horsepower or 710 horsepower matching the McLaren 720s I don't think it's gonna be as light but nevertheless got a lot more horsepower and I'm guessing they are coming to gun for the McLaren 720s So if you can't quite get your hands on a pista, then the Ferrari f8 might be an option Ferrari do a Ferrari dealer actually reached out to me and there might be a possibility that I might get that car So I'm still kind of going back and forth with them Seeing what the options are see if I want to pick up one of those and try out another Ferrari Now in a little garage update if you follow me on Instagram, you probably saw there was a Porsche in my garage And that is right here. We actually took it out to the fuel run drag strip. It's not mine. It's my buddy Randy's Claris guy on Instagram. He's actually starting his own YouTube channel So look forward to seeing some stuff from Randy coming soon, but let's just check out this car really quick So this is a Porsche 911 turbo s in black as you can see this thing's upgraded from boost logic making over 800 horsepower To the wheels. I got a chance to drive this and have it for a couple days store in my garage and it's really really fast You'll see some results that we did at the drag race at fuel run and we're gonna be posting this up though soon, but I never actually owned a Porsche and This was kind of a good experience for me to kind of take a look at one Experiencing especially when it's upgraded with a lot of horsepower. We got the V box in there We got a lot of testing and such. This has got the center lock wheels. These are aftermarket. It looks like BBS Carbon ceramic brakes with the green calipers things is wicked Randy also has the SVJ that did the wheelie and a 720s that we ran as well His 720s has a tune and exhaust and they're still working on the tune, but I end up going 9-4 I think at a hundred and forty nine miles an hour at the fuel run So let me know in the comments. Do you think we should bring a Porsche to the channel for real? My goal has always been to get the 918 spider. I like the hybrid design. I like the all-wheel drive It just all around just does really well beat me in the 720s at the half mile a while ago but that's a ton of cash and you could pick up one of these and dump about 30 grand into it and be faster than The 918 spider and faster than a bunch of cars So I'm still considering it not sure what I'm gonna do Ferrari f8 Porsche, of course still got the Ford GTs over here We actually got to run these two so that's coming soon I'm gonna get these two on the road course and do some acceleration testing. It's gonna be pretty interesting to see 700 horsepower in this one 650 here manual transversion manual transmission versus the DCT. I'm gonna run some trailers here We got a lot of stuff coming.
