BMW R 1250 GS // Madrid's Sierras // Sierra de Gredos // First Ride

I rented a brand new BMW R 1250 GS and took it for a 2 day ride in the Sierras west and north of Madrid. This area is not well known to motorcyclists other than the locals that enjoy these roads on roadsters and sports bikes rather than a big BMW R 1250 GS.

I spend the nights in a El Escorial which is know best for the The Royal Site of San Lorenzo de El Escorial (Real Sitio de San Lorenzo de El Escorial) which is commonly known as Monasterio del Escorial. On 2 November 1984, UNESCO declared The Royal Seat of San Lorenzo of El Escorial a World Heritage Site.

These are impressions from my first day towards the Sierra de Gredos (west of Madrid).
