[Music] n [Music] good morning today we have a lot going on and we're going to take you along for the entire day we've got to do laundry we've got to do well you'll just see guys 4 miles this morning before I do my laundry then we got to like get lunch stuff prepped and be ready for the day it's 7:30 I'm already thinking about lunch maybe I don't have to do that yet we'll find something to do [Music] go morning good morning what's on your agenda oh just scheduling the next video to come out tomorrow tonight actually yeah I don't know when this will happen for you in real time but yes there is a night video coming out very soon okay what's your plan for the day uh I have to go get some cement because I got a whole load of dirt yesterday but we we ran out of cement so we need to get some more cement so we can uh work on the house today all right the shower was amazing I'm going to really try really hard to get into more of a routine of what I do every day because lately I've just been feeling so like lost like there's so many things to do that I just kind of shut down and don't want to do anything so um I've got calendars that I forgot to show you last time and just trying to really plan our days and figure out what everybody's doing to where everybody knows what every single person is doing it just will make things a lot easier I think and less like back and forth what are you doing I can't remember what you're doing yeah I think it'll make it easier so this morning walk shower now laundry get that done Jonathan's going to head into town and uh get some Portland so that we can actually work on the house tonight today today later today I'm losing [Music] it I've been putting tea tree oil in our laundry and I just love the way it smells does anybody else use that I love tea tree oil it's an acquired smell I didn't like it at first now love it [Music] sh [Music] okay so I need to go get some mint like we said earlier here's the reason for that we are at kind of a critical Junction in the house where you know there's lots of schools of thought on whether you should stabilize your Earth bags or not um we definitely think you should stabilize them for your foundation layers below grade and then at least up above ground a little bit because you have so much weight that's going to be on those walls as you build up the rest of the layers right however you know cement obviously is terrible for the environment I we would prefer to not have it in the walls if possible so yeah we're kind of at the point where we're out of the the ground and we're to the the walls right where we could potentially either stop using cement or reduce the amount that we're using but I think part of that equation too is just how much would it actually cost to put 10% cement in every single layer of earthbag we haven't really been keeping that close track of so what I'm going to do today is go get five or 10 bags of Portland cement and we're going to keep track of that like before we've been buying whole pallets of it so we just haven't really been keeping track of oh we laid this many feet of bag and this is how much cement we Ed so we still aren't ready to stop using cement but what we want to do is we want to keep better track of it kind of like we did with the ab mix where we realized that about a 20 ton load of Av mix will get us a full course on the house we want to know how many bags of Portland cement at 10% cement are going to get us through a whole layer of the house and then once we know that then we can start to calculate some of that and decide if it's worth the cost versus structural Integrity whether we need it whether we want it all that stuff but but cost is definitely part of it we haven't been doing a great job keeping track of that also I need to get some toppings for pizzas because that's what Ashley's making for lunch on our Fontana oven it's going to be delicious uh but we need a few more toppings to make it work so that means I have to drive a little further into our bigger town uh submit will be a little bit cheaper there and I can go to the [Music] grocer laundry is done and it's already 10:00 so I got to get in on my therapy session call and we do lunch after [Music] [Music] that no one told me how hard therapy is I thought it would just be talking nope time to make some lunch we're doing pizzas [Music] [Music] grommet and a screw so that's all that it comes with the hardest part is just going to be how we get the wire into the main box over there you want to read you want to look at the instructions what's step one Step One is Mount the multi-connect kit close to the control box mount it close to the control box with the one screw well this should be easy what do you think centered I'm not pre-drilling okay so first we want to turn off the unit then we're going to disconnect the battery terminals and then we got to get this this Cable in here plug in right there that's all we got to [Music] do it's all plugged in I saw a little blinky light on the ghost controls thing here so what I'm going to do is I'm going to pull up the app on my phone and show you that process we're going to get hopefully get it connected and get it working so here we go ghost controls app yes I'm ready to start set up new device hold on a new device was found I'm going to name it front gate multicontrol or front gate multiconnect establishing connection initializing setup setting up device receiving Keys one feature that I thought was cool when I first open this app is it had a new setting where you can back up all of your the key codes you've already put into the system to your iCloud account so that if you ever got a new opener or like you had to replace this whole control board it would just remember everything and would like suck it back in and it would work which is pretty cool okay we have connected to our Wi-Fi network that means it reached all the way down here we just excellent you can actually open it from here should I try it okay ready [Music] [Applause] [Music] uh Telling Me 3 2 1 that's nice handy handy and you can stop stop it Midway which is cool which I don't want to do but and then like it's changing the the actual gate that's kind of crazy that's cool no way 10 so I can easily enable party mode here which is just leaves it open so I'll do that before I had to like go over to the keypad and like hit party mode and then put in my master code and then it I couldn't disable it until I was back down here so our big thing is like I said we get a lot of deliveries so if they're bringing dirt in or they're bringing some big shipment in um this gate probably would close on the truck if they tried to just drive through so party mode is is uh helpful right now I'm still attached to this thing via Bluetooth so my next test will be we need to go back up the driveway far enough to where Bluetooth isn't going to reach anymore and make sure that it's actually working via the the Wi-Fi internet connection all right so we are up at the house fed we should be far enough away where the Bluetooth isn't going to actually reach here so I'm going to open ghost controls app it's set to internet you can see by the icon on the top right it's going to authenticate so I'm going to open [Music] it babe check this out look at this app mhm now hit the open button do this mean that we can have a party now it means we can do a party anytime we want and like when big trucks come in with deliveries we can just open it uhhuh just pull up your phone hit the button open the gate is this on my phone yeah is it on ad's phone yeah so anybody can have it and we can even share the codes with anybody like we can share it text it to them it's got a QR code what's cool is we can also schedule times that we want the gate to open like we could have a specific schedule like it could open at a certain time every day and close at a certain time if something's not working right with the gate we can send Diagnostics over to ghost controls like it has all that information in there it shows us the health and the charge of the battery which sometimes it's hard to keep track of that lead acid battery all the way down there but it tells you exactly what's going on with that and we can even set up notifications so it sends a notification to your phone if the gate opens or if it stays much cement we need and how much it costs and how cheap we want to be moving forth they're so like soft and realize how long we' had that other the rest of that c yeah it's not supposed to be like you
