A Dream Honeymoon: Maldives in 4K Travel Vlog - Sun Siyam Olhuveli Beach Resort & Spa

Hey guys, welcome back to our channel. Today, we're bringing you along on our dream honeymoon in the Maldives. We couldn't be more excited to share this paradise with you. We're staying at San Siam al-Huvali, nestled in the heart of the Indian Ocean, located in South Mali Atoll. Just look at these overwater bungalows. It's like something out of a postcard. After a long journey, we've finally arrived. The welcome here has been beyond our expectations. The staff greeted us with refreshing drinks and warm smiles. The resort is just a 45 minute speedboat trip from the airport in Mali. Spanning over three paradise islands, offering 11 bars and restaurants with various cuisine options, secret shipwreck diving trips, and world-class water sports, we couldn't wait to start our dream honeymoon in this beautiful paradise. We were aware that each resort in the Maldives has so much to offer and that you have no need to leave the island whilst on your trip. To accommodate a change in scenery, we had booked our stays in two different locations at the resort. For the first few days, we were staying in the newer side of the resort in the Grand Beach Villa. The Grand Beach Villa are king-sized bedrooms featuring clean white lines with bold splashes of color, plus an alcoved daybed that's absolutely perfect for sheening into with a good book, outdoor bathrooms that are generously proportioned, and on the beachfront terrace, where we found a dining area, a daybed, and sun loungers. We were in awe of the beauty of this place already. After settling into our bright and beautiful room, we walked around the island, enjoying the sunshine, white sandy beaches, and friendly atmosphere. Pure paradise. For the next few days, while staying in our Grand Beach Villa, we explored the island's activities and water sports. From relaxing walks on the beach in the mornings after breakfast and a cup of coffee, to relaxing next to the different pools sipping on a cocktail and even smoking a shisha, to afternoon kayaking after a delicious lunch, seeing all the marine life around the island in the most clear water you could imagine. When booking this trip, we wanted to fully experience everything, so we opted for an all-inclusive package. The package included a We enjoyed a relaxing back massage while being able to see the ocean underneath the spa beds through a glass floor. All the tranquility you could ever need. In the evenings, we would freshen up and attend a buffet dinner. Every night the resort would present a different cultured cuisine. On nights where there was Italian cuisine, we enjoyed the most amazing pastas and pizzas. On nights where there was Asian cuisine, we got to indulge in the most pristine sushi, Thai noodles, and dishes. We tried for the very first time banana fritters sprinkled in icing sugar and the taste was truly unforgettable. The resort also has its own diving center up at the dock where we arrived. After dinner each night, we would find ourselves relaxing at the where there are huge spotlights shining straight into the ocean. The marine life we were able to see was incredible. From colorful fish to sharks, turtles, and manta rays, it was such an amazing way to end off each day on the island. After a few days, we moved to our next booking at the resort where we stayed in the Grand Water Villa with a private pool. These villas are the perfect example of affordable luxury with incredibly spacious decks, furnished with an oversized daybed, dining area, sun loungers, and our very own stairway straight into the lagoon. This place is just magnificent to say the very least. Whenever we felt like going on our own private snorkeling safari, we would put on our snorkeling gear, walk down the stairs, and swim amongst some of the most stunning marine life there is to see. There were plenty of stingray, barracuda fish, and turtles that would calmly swim past us while we admired their beauty. There were also plenty of baby sharks swimming all around the island every day. It was so incredible to experience. It sounds a little scary, we know. While on our first day, we were a little skeptical of all the sharks. We decided to ask Google the question and were quickly reassured that it is believed that the most dangerous thing to ever happen to you in Maldives is an injury from a coconut falling on your head and not so much a shark attack. After a few swims in the ocean, we became comfortable and the thought of swimming with sharks didn't seem to bother us anymore. We went on a sunset dolphin cruise one evening before dinner, celebrated our experience with some champagne, and got familiar with the culture of Maldives from the locals and resort staff. On our last night at the resort, we had dinner at the Sunset Restaurant where we ate some local dishes, including crayfish from the pool right there at the restaurant. Every other day, we enjoyed sipping out of coconuts, trying out signature cocktails, and embracing every moment we possibly could. Alhuvili truly has so much to offer its visitors, from deep sea diving, snorkeling excursions, a secret shipwreck, kite surfing, a floating platform dinner experience, and not to mention all their inclusive water sports like kayaking, jet skis, and paddle boarding. What really made our stay so memorable was the friendliness of the staff and locals. Their polite mannerism and humble assistance at all times was another truly amazing part of our experience.
