Chinese Traditional Story: Met an Immortal in Jiuhua Mountain

This story took place in the year of Wanli during the Ming Dynasty. There was young farmer named Ning Cheng who lived at the foot of Jiuhua Mountain. His father died when he was very young, and he had no brothers or sisters. He lived with his mother who was blind. Their life was very hard. Ning Cheng took good care of his mother even though he very little. One hot summer day, Ning Cheng was busy weeding the fields, when he became extremely thirsty, he saw a white-haired old man passing by. The old man said:" Young man, I see that you are working so hard in this unbearably hot day, you must be very thirsty, I have half a peach left over here, hope it will help you.
