Hello Everyone! Hope you enjoy this video where I try Korean street food in Seoul! Some places to go to in Korea for street food are Insadong and Myeongdong. You can try the delicious Gyeranbbang or Egg bread or traditional Korean candy Ppopgi.
Hey everyone! If there's a must-do in Korea, it's trying all the street food that is everywhere in Seoul.
So today, I'm going to be showing you the street food that I loved when I went to Korea.
So the first one is this thing called Manju, and it's actually the first thing that we ate.
It's like a corn-filled custard snack.
This is the first thing I'm eating in Seoul, and it looks like a little corn.
Can you tell? It's so cute.
It's like a little corn-filled snack.
They actually remind me sort of like egg waffles that are filled with a delicious creamy custard.
It's really yummy.
Although street food is like everywhere in Korea, Insadong is a place where you can kind of get it all together at once.
My absolute favorite street food that I found in Insadong, and also just it's available everywhere,
is this thing called Gyeran-bbang, or egg bread.
And basically what it is, it's like a cake or kind of like a cornbread cake base,
and then they put an egg on top, and it's the most delicious thing just fresh out of the oven.
It tastes so, so, so yummy. I love this.
It's like a very sweet cornbread kind of texture, and I really like it.
It's like a cake, and on the top, it's an egg.
Absolutely delicious. Yum.
Walking along in Insadong, we also found this ice cream shop,
and it's really interesting because the cone is actually a corn-shaped J-shaped cone,
and it's really interesting to look at.
They use this machine to make it, and then they put ice cream on both ends.
Hey guys, so I'm eating my ice cream, and this part is chocolate,
but it doesn't really taste like anything because it's very empty and a bit tasteless,
but this is kind of like a corn-type, so it's quite an interesting combination.
Although Insadong is nice, Myeongdong is the place to, I think, have a lot of great street food,
especially in the evening with the night markets.
It's a must to come here.
You get cotton candy to a different kind of Korean snacks,
especially tteokbokki or rice cake snacks,
and this popular Korean street food is called tornado potato,
where they actually take a potato, slice it in a way,
and then expand it in the oil and also batter it as well.
It's quite cool.
They deep fry it and put seasoning on it.
It tastes just kind of like a twister potato chip.
Another really popular street food is called tteokbokki or rice cakes,
and this is usually in a very spicy kind of sauce.
I had my fair share here in Myeongdong, and I love it.
Hey everybody, so I have tteokbokki here,
and it's basically the big rice cakes in a spicy sauce,
and they're a lot bigger than the ones I've seen before.
I really like it.
It's really good.
In fact, I think tteokbokki or rice cakes is such a really popular food
that they really put it in everything.
Here, they have stuffed it inside a meat and kind of making like a sausage street food,
and I've seen other ones that are like grilled,
and then this one is delicious crabs.
This is one of my favorites as well.
Hey guys, so right now we have some fried crabs.
Another street food is called popgi,
which is a Korean traditional candy made of caramelized sugar,
and they put different shapes into the caramel sugar.
Hey guys, so right now I'm just trying to find a candy to eat,
and apparently, you know, when you get it, you're supposed to try and break the star,
but immediately when I picked it up, it already broke.
So, ah, it's annoying, but let's give it a try.
I'm going to take this.
It's very light and crispy, like a wafer.
It's really yummy.
It tastes like a honeycomb.
It has a burnt caramel or smoky kind of caramel taste to it,
and it's actually really nice.
Myeongdong isn't just for street food.
It's the place to shop for cosmetics.
So look forward to my next video
where I take you makeup shopping with me in Myeongdong.
See you guys later, and I hope you enjoyed this video.
Bye guys!
