Beaches, mountains, mud and the potato fest: The Outer Hebrides

The Outer Hebrides are a remote piece of land off Scotlands west coast. Trees are long gone since they were cut down by the vikings to prevent the inhabitants from building their own ships.

Just looking at a map, this always attracted me and made we wonder what it would look like! And since you can explore even more remote places when going off the road, we headed over on Gravel and mountain bikes respectively!

After cycling through Scotlands beautiful highlands for a week, we found vast and powerful nature on these islands.
The few people that live there were incredibly friendly and kind, we made lots of friends along the way!

We rode our bikes south to north with lots of offroad-detours on the way.
