(Premier League 2024/2025): Highlights Tottenham - Everton

Kulishevsky on the corner. Really fizzed in towards Romero. Petroporoson hooks it back for Romero. Great touch! Saved by Pickford. Maddison still going. Everton all over the place here. They can't clear it either. Romero. No doubt he'll thunder into this challenge here. Cristian Romero on his 100th appearance. Had a couple of bites of this. First the header. And he did so well. Like a striker really here to work it down into his own path. Thumped it. Jordan Pickford who kept 13 clean sheets in the Premier League last season. Bright stuff though from the Frenchman. Maddison. Hermansson. Tarkovsky won't give him the shooting angle. Odebert. Someone has the shooting angle this time! And the deflection forces Pickford into the reaction. Romero clever. And what a run. Brilliant take. Maddison denied by his England teammate. Spurs nearly in again. Bassema. Maddison. Oh and it's flipped on. And it was nearly guided into the net by Brennan Johnson. Brennan Johnson links up with Kulishevsky. Maddison. Kulishevsky. Great feet. Still going. Kulishevsky. Bassema. Listen to that roar. Spurs are back. And Bassema's back. His first goal for the club could not be much better. What a goal this was. What a noise that was too. Johnson and Kulishevsky trying to weave their way through. Kulishevsky eventually found the pass and Bassema arrived. And the hit was perfect. Some sent in off the bar. And scoring belters. Spurs 1 Everton 0. E Bassema. Hey still have plenty forward here Everton. But Romero is just putting out everything at the moment. Ball into the middle to Corey's there. Oh and Harrison. What a chance for Jack Harrison to level the game. Everton's first meaningful attempt. Down an overload round the back. Odebert. Will be an Everton ball. Son is going to steal it from Pickford. He's his top scorer. He'll take it. That's been coming. Pickford caught. Pressing it for Minson. The pressure from the captain has led to the second goal for supporters. I say it's a gift. It's once unearned. Pickford loose unaware that Son was so quick. The number seven dare not take another touch. Just rolls it into the net. Everton have been blown away in these opening 25 minutes. Minson his 10th season up and running. Hung up by McNeil. Tarkovsky there again to Corey for goal. Keane underneath it. Madison away. What a scramble. McNeil. Let's first try and shut this down. Pedro Porro. Free kick Everton. They'll get to go again. And Kulishevsky. Watch it to Pedro Porro. Left foot Pedro Porro. It is his weaker foot. Didn't look like it in the end. He nearly scored and it's the last act of the first half. Loose. McNeil saw that coming. Can Spurs get a tackle in? Lindstrom's first touch is a shot. Saved by the goalkeeper. Vicario to the rescue. High boot from Mendy. James Madison whips it just wide. It's gonna be a change for Everton up front shortly because Beto's ready but in the meantime Spurs corner. Everybody back inside the area for Everton. James Madison's delivery was of the highest quality. Pickford was unsure what to do. And Romero got up. It's another one in off the bar. Appearances for Tottenham Hotspur Football Club. And he has his first of the brand new Premier League season. And a huge 2-0 victory over Liverpool. McNeil collects. Van der Ven trying to motor. And off he goes. Richarlison and Son are with him here. Still van der Ven. Gives it to Son. Yes! Scored by Son. But man is an extraordinary run. Look at the break. Look at this from Mickey van der Ven. Edge of his own box. To the other. What a run. Last season's player of the season with a mesmerizing assist. And then Son just does the rest. And somewhat near post. Arrows it around Pickford. 4-0. And this has been some response.
