The Vice President is giving a speech tomorrow night. What do you think she can do to rally
the party?
I think she has to keep doing what she's been doing. I haven't seen this party as excited
since 2008 when Denver hosted the Democratic Convention. I think that excitement has a
lot to do with her energy.
What do you think she can do to bring in the undecideds and independents?
She's doing it. An awful lot of the undecideds, they're looking at who they think is going
to win, who's got a better chance to win. She's created this energy and excitement that
is quadrupling the fundraising. Hundreds of thousands of people volunteering to get out
the vote. I think she really is demonstrating that she's going to win this thing. That's
like catnip to people that are not sure which way the wind blows. They're not as strong
on value sometimes. They're going to go where they think the winner is going to end up.
I think she's persuading a lot of people that she's going to be the winner.
Do you think she can impact the down-ballot races as well?
Yeah, sure. I think energy, like what we're seeing coming out of Kamala Harris, is contagious.
It goes up and down the ballot. Once people get in there and they say, well, she's good,
and they're probably pretty good. I think she's going to help people all up and down
the ballot.
