Welcome to my channel again, my name is Kat and today I'll be talking a little bit about this
beautiful Art Deco era cocktail ring. So it has been produced sometime between 1910 to 1930.
As you would expect cocktail rings would be worn at parties and in such a way so that people
could see the beautiful stone while you're holding the drink. The ring is a mixture of sterling
silver and nine carat rose gold. Here you can look closely it's got also a mark for nine carat gold
as you can see here and mixture of nine carat gold and sterling silver were quite typical during
Art Deco era. So you can see it or you can find it with many cocktail rings produced at the time.
Now let's look at the stone. Stone has got absolutely amazing spark. Look on the back
it's got that kind of rose de France tone to it which is very desirable colour of the stone.
It beautifully reflects the light and it doesn't really have any wear marks. We also have
marker sides here. Marker sides are one of those stones that embellished many Art Deco
jewelry pieces as you probably know very well if you are a fan of Art Deco jewelry. So the setting
of the stone has got this milligrain design and it's like almost these very very tiny lines
embellishing the setting. So this is used instead of cloths and then on the back
what we can see here is the kind of cut out style in silver. Silver is very soft metal so
this wouldn't be difficult to do and I've seen it in many different Art Deco designs. Some of them
are slightly different. There are variations in this cut out style on the back.
And then when it comes to size it's a size UK size OP and a US size 7.25.
And this is quite regular average size so it does fit kind of a lovely young
finger. As you can see I'm not as young anymore so I'm gonna have to use my smaller finger.
But it's a it's a really good average size. Now the ring also comes with a vintage box. This is
not Art Deco box or this is not original box but I like sometimes offer I like to offer
the ring with the box. Sometimes having the ring in the vintage or antique box makes the whole
thing rather more romantic you know experience. Especially if the ring is meant to be a gift for
it definitely gives it another kind of level of experience. So yeah that was all I wanted to tell
you today about this beautiful Art Deco cocktail ring. And as per usual you know that I always
