A mighty army of knights and mercenaries gathers in Furth im Wald for a crusade against the Bohemians,
In the shadow of war, a tender romance grows: the lady of the castle of Furth loves the scout Udo, who is far below her rank.
But fate can hardly be stopped: the imperial army marches towards Bohemia.
The leader of the crusade arrives in Furth at the last second: At the last second, a negotiator from Bohemia, wants to persuade the cardinal to make peace before the blood of a mighty battle unleashes the dragon.
