WHAT'S NEW IN MY WARDROBE FOR SUMMER 2024 ¦ COS, & OTHER STORIES, ASOS, MONICA VINADER, SONGMONT,

Something that has been on my wish list for so long. Well, hello there and welcome back to my channel. If you are new here, my name is Ciara. I share videos on shopping for the best basics on the high street, how to build a capsule wardrobe, and lots of other good stuff. So in today's video, I'm going to be showing you what is new in my wardrobe and all of the pieces that I have picked up recently. And as I always say, I like to do these videos not very frequently, but rather I wait until I have a few different pieces that I think you guys will really, really like. And I am all about great basics, building a really good capsule wardrobe, and I have a real focus on really great accessories as well. And I have some really good accessories to share with you in today's video. So we're going to be looking at some gorgeous mid-range bags. I have some really nice footwear. We also have some accessories, some jewelry, and some clothing. And I also have a really great discount code to share with you as well. Let's kick things off with some accessories. And I have a new mid-range bag to show you guys. And it is one that has been on my wishlist for so long. And it is the Songmont Luna bag in the ivory color. Songmont have very kindly reactivated my discount code. So many of you guys were able to use this code before to snag this bag for such a good price. I'm not sure how long it's going to be around for. So if you do want to pick up these bags, I would not hesitate. So if you saw my previous video, I had the Songmont Luna bag in the black color. And I honestly think it is one of the best mid-range bags that you can get for the price, probably in the most part because it is a multi-use bag. There are four different ways of wearing this bag. When I'm looking for a bag that will work really hard for me and give me multiple options, this is the bag that I go for. It's no surprise that I used the black color of the Songmont Luna so much. It is still one of my favorites. It is in high rotation. So I wanted to pick up the beautiful ivory color for summertime and also to use as kind of an occasion wear bag with all of my like lighter dresses, my summery outfits for weddings. I just feel like this ivory color is perfect. So in case you're not familiar with Songmont as a brand, they are a gorgeous women-owned brand and they focus on creating really well-crafted high quality leather goods, but at a really amazing price. And these pieces are made with a high quality full grain leather. I also love the texture. It just means they're super durable. You can really easily remove the top strap and then you just clip these two pieces together to create the perfect little dumpling bag. This is great as an occasion wear bag. You can pop your hand in here or you can just hold it like this or hold it like a clutch and it's the perfect little kind of croissant moon style bag for nights out, wedding guests, occasions. I just think it is brilliant. But then the other way that you can wear this bag is you can use the strap which it comes with. This is how easy it is to attach the straps. And then you have this gorgeous crossbody bag which sits really, really comfortably across the body. For an additional bonus way to wear it, you can basically take the shoulder strap, you feed it through and then you clip it and then you have this like wristlet style. You can either wear it like this with this extra detail sitting here or you can hold it like this in your hand or pop your hand through. So really there are four very distinct ways to wear the bag but even within that you can kind of change it up. There are not that many bags out there on the high street that give you that much value for money in terms of customizability and I think it's why this bag has been so popular with you guys and also why I had to get it in another colour because I just love it. I do also love the brown colour that they have and then they also have a tan colour that's so, so nice as well. But I'll leave links below so you can check out the Songmont Luna. But moving on from the Songmont Luna, I have another Songmont bag that I wanted to show you because they do have a bunch of other styles and there's one in particular that I was so excited to try out. This is the Drippy Roof Bag by Songmont. I have nothing like this in my wardrobe. So this bag is part of the Drippy range from Songmont. They also have the Luna range and the Drippy range was actually inspired by architecture which I think is really cool and you can actually see that in the structure of the bag. It has its feet on the bottom. Even though it's structured it kind of has a little bit of squish to it but then it also holds its shape. I think it's something to do with the premium full grain leather that they use. As well as your top handle strap you also have this crossbody strap and like with most Songmont bags this is adjustable. So you can make this longer or shorter depending on the fit you want. You can have it almost like a shoulder bag, a crossbody or a longer crossbody and then of course you can also remove the strap completely. This bag gives me nods to the Loewe Puzzle Bag which is I would say five, six times more expensive than this bag. This has the same dimensions, the same kind of energy to it and I feel like it's a really really great option for someone who likes that style of bag but doesn't want to spend thousands and thousands. So when you open it up here you have this large chamber. It is honestly a great size for every day. You could easily fit a water bottle, a makeup bag, you can fit all your devices, your keys, really anything you need day to day. And then you also have these interior pockets here that you can pop in anything else. And then of course you have a zip here which is great for security. You also have these little magnetic buttons so it just closes really really nicely. I also have these extra side pockets here on the side which I actually really like the look of. They kind of add to the kind of utility look of the bag. I've gone for this in the Onyx colourway but they have so many gorgeous colours of the Drippy bag especially in the different sizes. So if you're looking to update your bag collection and you want something a little bit different and I would say something that's very modern then I think definitely check out the Drippy collection. So moving on I have a pair of shoes to show you and it is these gorgeous tan loafers from Russell and Bromley. They're actually an amazing shoe brand if you've never heard of them before. I think they're based in the UK and I have a few pairs of their shoes now and the quality is so so good. I was looking for a pair of tan loafers. They are so similar to the Gucci horsebit loafers. The price difference is massive. I think these are around or under 200 euro. They're also a really nice quality leather. For shoes I do really like to prioritise nice quality leathers where I can. I just find that I get longer out of them and then once you break them in they tend to be really really comfortable and so far these are great. They're really really comfortable. They're obviously a mule style as you can see so they're very very summery. I also love how they look with my tan bags and belts and other accessories. I just think it's so nice to have kind of a matching tan shoe, tan bag, tan belt. It's so nice in the summertime especially. So another accessory I'm going to show you is this gorgeous charm bracelet from Monica Vinader. It is so so nice. I only got this recently. Each link is actually movable. Like you can open each link which means you don't need to get charms that have a clip on them. You can just add any pendants that you have and use them as a charm. I actually took this little cowboy boot here off a necklace and added it to it really really easily. So this cowboy boot is not from Monica Vinader. I don't think they do a cowboy boot charm but this little four leaf clover is actually from Monica Vinader. It's so gorgeous and the quality is amazing. So yeah I think that's so clever. If you're looking for a bracelet like this that you can then customise really easy without even having to buy more charms. You can just take pieces off your necklaces or even your earrings and just add it. I think it's so so clever. So the next accessory I'm going to show you is something that has been on my wish list for so long and it is a chunky low waist belt and honestly guys you'd be surprised at how hard it was to find one of these that wasn't hundreds and hundreds of euro and I knew that if I just kept my eyes open I would find a good version on the high street and thankfully ASOS came through. I found this one from Monkey. It's actually on their website but then it's also on ASOS and it was I think it was under 30 euro and it's absolutely perfect. I actually wanted this in a silver finish as well because I have a few kind of chunky gold buckle belts. I just love how wide it is and the idea with this is to wear this with like jumper dresses with silky satin maxi skirts or midi skirts. I just think there's something really cool girl about this. I mentioned applying this theory with my capri trousers as well because it was kind of a newer trend that I wanted to try and actually I have been really enjoying it and wearing it a lot but in the beginning I didn't want to spend hundreds and hundreds on something that I wasn't 100% sure would suit me or I would love. I will always spend and invest more on my bags, my shoes, my classic pieces and then when it comes to the more kind of fun personality pieces I will often see if I can save a little bit on them just because I feel like it's more practical. So the next item I'm going to show you is a pair of sunglasses by Vela. Now these have been ordered and they are not going to be here until the day after tomorrow. I was really hoping that they would arrive today before I filmed this but they're not here but I'm going to show you because I don't know when I'll be doing another wardrobe update video. So they are the Kaya sunglasses in the tortoise and the sage lens and you will have seen these on my previous wishlist videos. I had been eyeing these up for a while. I just love a pair of statement sunglasses especially kind of a vintage oversized 70s style pair. I just adore them. I feel like they can dress up even the most simple of outfits and give it so much personality and I feel like Vela are a really good brand. Their quality is really good, they ship really fast, I never get customs and they're just great quality as well and very comfortable to wear. You may have seen my Dixie sunglasses which I wear all the time. I brought them away with me on holidays but the Kaya pair, they're kind of a bit more 70s and a bit more oversized and I absolutely love them. I cannot wait for them to arrive. So I'm actually going away on a trip next week to Marbella for a few days in the sun with my friend Lauren and I'm so excited and you best believe I'm packing my song Montluna in ivory. So this is going to be my crossbody bag when I'm travelling in the airport. It's also going to be my shoulder bag when I'm out and about and then in the evenings I can turn it into the dumpling bag and just carry it in my hand and honestly for travel I feel like this bag is so handy. So next up we're going to move on to some clothing that I picked up and I have a few pieces to show you from Cos. As you know it is probably one of my favourite places to shop on the high street right now. I just love them and they were having their summer sale recently so honestly it would have been rude to not pick up a few pieces and to be fair these were pieces that I had my eye on when they were full price so I was very quick to snap them up. The first thing I picked up were these wide leg tailored trousers. Now you've seen these trousers before because I actually picked them up in another colour. I had been eyeing up the cream colour of these trousers. They're so gorgeous and then they went into the sale and they went down from I think 100 euros to 45 euro. I'm going to link them below if they are still in stock or in sale they will be below but I just love them so much and I tend to get these Cos trousers in a size 10. I could go for a size 8 but I prefer to get the 10 because they actually have this really amazing button feature on the inside of the waist so that you can nip them in a little bit. So depending on whether you want to wear them higher or lower waist you can switch it up and then of course you can also add a belt with them as well. The next thing I picked up was this A-line mini skirt and this was an absolute bargain. It was actually only 25 euros and I had been eyeing it up when it was full price. I love mini skirts. I love wearing them in summer. I also love wearing them in winter with a pair of tights and I really particularly love the A-line style. I feel like it's very flattering. That kind of nip in at the waist and then it just kind of goes out, skims really really nicely over the legs. This style of skirt looks just as good with a bare leg in the summer as it does with tights and boots in the If you don't have a classic mini skirt, Cos do some really great ones. And the final item I picked up on the Cos sale is this maxi wool column skirt and again this was something that I had my eye on especially coming into autumn winter. It is a beautiful soft almost like a brushed wool material and it's just a really simple classic black skirt. Fits really really nicely. I love the slit down the back and I can imagine myself wearing this in autumn winter with like a chunky pair of knee boots and a big knit but actually I can also wear it now with a pair of loafers and a t-shirt. It's a great basic. So next up I picked up two pieces from And Other Stories. The first piece is this gorgeous kind of sheer knit shirt and this is a very summery piece. It very much is kind of like a beach cover-up and that's why I picked it up. It will be coming with me on my trip to Marbella next week and I'll be using it as like a beach cover-up with some of my swimwear but then it's also great to throw on with let's say a pair of denim shorts or tailored shorts after the beach or the pool or you're just wearing it on its own with a little bralette underneath. I think it's so chic. I also picked up this pair of wide leg trousers from And Other Stories and I love the fit of these. I have really been loving the kind of horseshoe barrel leg or balloon style jeans and trousers at the moment. It's such a fun silhouette to style. I particularly love how it looks with something fitted on top kind of like a tank top or a baby tee and then this really cool like barrel style on the bottom. I think it's so chic and so updated and they've got that little bit of ankle on show so you can wear your loafers, you know, your ballet flats. I just think it's so cool and again the colour is really, really summery. So I also picked up a few new pieces from Goelia and I actually have a separate video on this which is live on my channel so if you want to see all the pieces that I picked up I will link it below and the first one is this gorgeous striped cardigan. It's so nice and as I said in that video this is a piece that I'm wearing now in the summer. Again, where you are, your summers might be too hot for a cardigan. In the summers that we get here in Ireland and also in the UK, cardigans are very much an essential whether they're being worn or just knotted over the shoulders as an extra layer just in case. It's just something that we have to do. I also have been loving this button kind of t-shirt style cardigan. It is so, so nice. Massimo Duty actually had a version of this last year and it sold out so quickly and I couldn't get my hands on it and I was so excited seeing this version on Goelia and the quality is really, really nice. It's also one of those pieces that you can wear now in the summer. It's a nice t-shirt cut but the fact that it's a nice knit fabric it means that you can wear this coming into the autumn season as well which I love. I also picked up these gorgeous tailored shorts in two different colours. They're not too long, they're super flattering on the leg, they have a really nice tailored fit. I also love that they come with a belt as well and both of these will be coming with me on my trip to Marbella because it is still very warm there and I want to wear some nice kind of tailored chic outfits but still be comfortable so these are perfect. And then the last thing I wanted to mention from Goelia is this gorgeous red shoulder pad t-shirt. It's just such a simple but cool piece and honestly I wish they had this in other colours as well, especially like a grey or a black. It's that subtle shoulder pad detail that actually looks so cool. You might not be able to tell that it has shoulder pads but it just gives this beautiful subtle structure to the shoulders and just looks so so nice.
