Silver Falls State Park - has a Ten Falls Trail loop with 10 waterfalls. It's a National Recreation Trail. We hiked the shorter loop that has 7 waterfalls. We were able to walk behind several of the falls along the trail. This was one of the top three falls that we enjoyed on our hike (South Falls and Lower South Falls were the other two falls we enjoyed). This video shows the Middle North Falls waterfall, which is along the Canyon Trail portion of the loop nearest to the Winter Falls trail.
NOTE: while the park map showed this Winter Falls Loop as 5 miles, with the out/back to several of the falls, we thought maybe "6 miles".... but, the GPS from two separate apps (Map My Run and AllTrails) showed it between 7.5 and 8.3 miles. My Gaia app stopped working and didn't record about 1/3 of the route and what it did record was over 5.3 miles. Several of the review comments on AllTrails also note the distance discrepancies. So, if you go hike, it, go with a snack and some extra water and expect it to be longer than the maps says it is. If you park at the South Falls Day Use area, there's a cafe for lunch. Go EARLY because it gets crowded even mid week. We hiked it counter clockwise from the South Falls Day-use area (the stairs near the Lower South Falls trail would not have made our knees very happy, so we were glad to go UP that section especially).
While traveling throughout the U.S. in our motorhome, we always schedule time to hike to experience the wonders of the natural world up close. With camera and Native American-style flute in hand, the locations we find provide us with unique opportunities to create calming, ambient music videos; videos that “Educate, Entertain, and Inspire.”
