Unusual choice of forehand from the Frenchman.
He's bullying Monfils.
To finish the opening set to the most extraordinary point.
And maybe that's what just threw Menzik.
It's just incredible for Monfils.
Impressively 12 of the first 15 points.
That's wonderful. Ingenuity off the chipboard.
Press home that forehand.
And he started it.
Kept pounding away, didn't he?
Such a high tariff exchange.
At such a crucial stage in this match.
Menzik.
Playing in just his third tour level event of his career.
He's into his main final.
All of himself to change the direction of that one.
Outstanding from Popper.
Absolutely brilliant.
From Alexey Poporin.
Waiting for his opponent to commit.
But back comes the Aussie.
What a return.
From Khachanov.
Has proved to be a little too much.
An enthralling tyre break.
Tilky touch. Not for the first time today.
He can. He's made it.
It's a first final of the season.
For Karen Khachanov.
