An 8 hour day on the Trans-Canada | Driving around Lake Superior and Lake Huron | Ontario is HUGE!

Good morning from Manitoulin Island, I just woke up early and did some yoga, which was so beautiful with this incredible view at this incredible campsite we are at. We have a long day of driving ahead, so I wanted to get some stretching in. So we're off to a good start. I tried to get the fire going as well for the coffee and filled this thing up with more fuel and pumped it up way too much and it just kept leaking everywhere and ended up catching fire. So yeah to add on to that I tried to make coffee this morning and then realized I had to do some computer stuff and it was so windy it wasn't working so I finally woke Keith up and was like Keith can you make us coffee? So yeah I just pumped it up and added more of it way too much and so it caught fire and so I had to pour water on it. The whole thing caught fire. We're gonna pack up and head out past Lidlker and hopefully we'll find a coffee shop and we'll just get coffee. And we're off. See the campsite? That was amazing. McLean's Lookout. It was a very nice campsite for sure. I'm a little bit sleepy and a little bit grumpy. Sorry Keith because I've been up since 7 30 and it's 10 a.m and I have not had coffee yet. So we got a couple options. We got good old Timmy's. We got three crows and a cone. A cone? You hear the way I said that? And uh the island jar. Anchor Inn Hotel. Our stove didn't work as you know so we also haven't eaten. Yeah so we're hungry. We were supposed to make eggs this morning and coffee but I screwed up the stove. But anyhow we gotta go. Went to Local Beans. It was called a belch and I'm almost done so as you can tell we've already gotten coffee and breakfast. So next stop is Hussein Marie and that should be in about three hours. So it's 10 20 right now. Let's see how well we do. But I think we have a nice drive ahead of us. Just a quick little update. I've drank some coffee and I feel much better. Yeah Devon's reasonable. Just wanted to let you know. No definitely uh definitely have some sort of addiction to the coffee beans. Yeah they're so good and this coffee shop excellent. Yeah thank you Local Beans. L-O-C-O beans. That's it I think. Very good. That's all I just wanted to let you know. I'm feeling better now. Just a little update. We're still driving. Singing to some good old Brown Eyed Girl. I got my computer set up here which is awesome. Keith is taking the wheel. It's just it's going great. Blue skies ahead. Good day so far. We just stopped in. We just stopped in Blind River. Keith is behind me taking a little pee break. A pretty beautiful spot for a pee break. The sun is shining. We're in the car still but that's okay. It's so beautiful here. I'm glad I pulled over. I love doing this. The OO would stop wherever it's beautiful. Back to the car. Slick. Thank you. Working on it. We just had a lovely coffee break with Tori, a friend of ours from high school who we haven't seen in years. Thank you so much Tori for reaching out. It was so nice to stop by. Yeah, Sioux St. Marie is a cute little town and we are going to continue five more hours today. Okay. We only drove 40 minutes from the Sioux and Devin had to rush and find somewhere to pee. I probably had to pee too and we just peed. I think it's not easy traveling with a tiny bladder. Holy smokes it's beautiful. What happened? My bread fell on the ground. I caught it and went flying but it's fine. I'm still gonna eat it. You're good. We are at Harmony Beach. We're just taking a quick lunch break because it's four o'clock and we haven't had lunch. Yeah, we're starving. That was windy. It was a windy lunch. It was like a task to eat and then also make sure we're holding everything so nothing falls in the sand. And flies away. But this is my first time seeing Lake Superior and it's very beautiful and very windy. And there's people swimming so I think it's actually warmer than the air right now. Yeah, because we're literally in a double sweater. Yeah, we're wearing our downs. Good thinking bringing this, Dev. Yeah. Okay, back on the road. And we've arrived to our camping spot. Carden Cove Beach. It's very cute looking. We just realized we've done eight hours of driving. Pretty tired. So Lake Superior, as you might have seen our water video, but Lake Superior itself holds 10 percent of the earth's surface fresh water. That is actually ridiculous. What? Crazy. I mean when we're driving by though on the road, Devon got a couple shots of that, it looks like an ocean. Yeah, it's awesome. It's nuts and it's also beautiful. As you can see it's drizzling a bit. Yeah, it's getting rainy and dark. I think it's like probably 9 20 is my guess. Yeah, but it's still this light out, right? Yeah, we've just been enjoying the view and it's a beautiful campsite, so we're gonna end our video here. We're just gonna probably make some food and then I'm probably gonna go to bed very soon.
