Typically when a cub transitions to sub-adulthood, their play behavior is the last to show up. So I was thrilled to see Xiao Qi Ji engage in a lengthy play bout, amusing himself by rolling, running, playing on the hammock and structure, sliding down the tree branches, creating havoc in the evergreen, and of course taking a dip in an indoor pool! As a bonus he and Tian went nose to nose at the howdy window!

Qi Ji is doing very well, eating, sleeping, and now we can check the box on playing!
