30 grand a week, footballers only. If people are getting 30 grand a week, some footballers
are getting 100-odd grand a week. Why, from a business point of view, would these players
get paid that, unless the clubs... I don't like to refer to clubs as a company, but why
would they give them that, people? So, it's a drop in the ocean. I'm sure Manchester United
hope that he progresses into the first team, and it's almost like Andy Cole. He has a long
way away from being mentioned in that, purely because Andy Cole played for Arsenal's academy
and is a Manchester United legend. I'm sure they want him to progress to the first team
and be somewhat of a home-grown kind of product in that regard. If not, and they make a profit
on him, fair enough, and he's not an idiot. You've learnt what you've learnt from Arsenal.
Go learn what you can from Man Utd. If you make it great there, if not, and you're sold
on for a couple of million or 20 million, 30 million, whatever have you, it is what
it is, people. I don't think people can look at things triable. If Arsenal are moving Iffy,
and again, bearing in mind clubs are going to tell you everything to get you to sign,
if Arsenal are moving Iffy and they've got something else for you, go and do your thing
Of course, I understand why fans, you know, there's a wide debate about, you know, Arsenal
and Hay-Land, and there's definitely a lot more we could do on the recruitment front
on having a competitive side. For me, I think it's a case of bridging the gap. So, like,
you look at Walters and Cole Zidubri, where you've got under-21s football, and then breaking
through into Arsenal's first team or cutting out a career, I definitely think there's something
we could do better in that regard. But Chido Obi Martin is very different. We're relying
on him to sign scholars. The club have given you, or allegedly offered you, a competitive
wage. Mikel Arteta has spoken to you. They've told you about their pathway. If you still
don't want to stay, go to Man United or wherever you go. Give us our compensation. We keep
it moving. I'm not being funny. I've seen Thierry Henry leave this football club. So,
I don't really care about some unproven 16, 17-year-old. I genuinely wish him all the
best because I think he is a monster of a player. I'm not really impressed by goal-scoring
at youth level and whatnot because we've seen players do that before, but he can score goals.
I think his general play has improved a lot. I think he's got the difference. He wants
to make the difference a lot of the time. I think he's a devilish kind of player when
he pulls out into that left-hand flank. I think he's got the swagger. I think he's obviously
fast and strong. It's obviously a benefit, but I don't think he's one of those players
that rely on solely that people. I think he's quite humble as well. He had a good under-17s
campaign. He did well for the school boys. Go and do your thing at Manchester United.
It is what it is, people.
