2023-03-04 Xiao Qi Ji ~ Night & Day, More Frisky Play!

#PandaStory: Our 2.5 year old independent Xiao Qi Ji once again showed that the recent separation from his mother Mei Xiang has not dampened his love of water and play. Both last night around 11pm and again today around 12:30pm Qi Ji put on quite the "show". Last night he was romping & tumbling around the rooms, using his bamboo & the sticks that he fished out of the pool as his playmates as he somersaulted & wall walked. He was bouncing & sliding down the rockwork, taking frequent dips in the pool! All that youthful energy was on full display as he happily amused himself!

Today he again entertained the Saturday crowds playing on the hammock structure, splashing in the indoor pools, wall walking, and somersaulting both indoors and outdoors!

Around the 18:25 minute mark, you'll see Tian Tian climbing and anointing in the trees in yard 1, followed by him enjoying an apple sitting in his hammock in room 1.

At the 20:40 mark you'll see Mei Xiang in yard 3 enjoying a piece of sugar cane, followed by her licking the honey off the honeycomb enrichment item in her new room, (formerly used for recently weaned/separated cubs Tai Shan, Bao Bao, and Bei Bei), room 4.
