Exciting Vietnam Adventure: Catch, Cook, And Explore In Southeast Asia!

okay we're heading out of Saigon to uh to a southern town and then we'll probably do some kind of fishing brother-in-law Trevor's gonna take us there okay guys we're gonna stop to get some uh some food before we hit our destination so we're gonna stop by get some uh durian and sugar cane so we're gonna take it over to the house so we're gonna have something to eat get some energy and do our activity today there we go so this is just a stall outside the street we're stopping in here we go oh wow that's sugar cane? that's fast so they use this strainer and they strain the sugar cane and they store in the fridge and that's the sugar cane juice. Want to take a sip? is it fresh refreshing oh yeah good huh what a good stop oh yeah that is so good you guys you can buy durian they weigh by the pounds about two kilograms about six pounds each so how much is a kilogram that one right there weigh it's about what is it like which is that that's like uh like four dollars is it four dollars yeah about four dollars that brown was about four dollars about 2.2 kilograms that brown was yearly right so so sweet me wow she's cutting it up for us too so yummy she's gonna do it that's how they cut it up for you yeah it's so good okay we'll head off to our destination guys okay you guys we finally arrived at our destination right here so uh how's it going everybody hope everything's good and well you know me i'm on another adventure and uh trevor my brother-in-law was uh good enough to invite us to one his friend's house a little bit outside of saigon and we're gonna do some fishing activity here so uh i'll let you guys know what we're gonna do uh i like to experience new fishing places and catch new fish and all kinds of fishing techniques that's why i'm on this adventure so uh it's very exciting never been here uh so it's going to be awesome in the tropics we're doing a outdoor tropic uh episode here so right now we're just walking in the house and everybody's back there a little path lots of dogs here this is our house oh back back here lots of doggies all right there's the crew ethan well because we're we're new here this is what we're gonna stay for today evening so well you know what's the channel about catch and cook so hopefully we'll catch and do some cooking so i figured out what we're gonna do we're gonna go hand netting with the team and catch the fish in this river so that's what we're going to do today so we'll jump in the river and use this hand net right here and we hopefully will catch our fish so it's a primitive way of fishing but it's a fact or to catch fish to eat they don't have time will they do angling with hook and bait this is the most effective way they catch fish here so that's what we're going to do today so let's go get it so we have everybody walking out let's go guys so we have a big crew here where everybody's going to get wet and get some fish so we're gonna walk down to the river okay so we have to take a walk down this path to the river so it's a little way but there i see the water so we're surrounded by a lot of waters and little oh there's more there's a uh hand cast net oh so quite a ways in huh going through the bush get to the fishing grounds oh yeah oh man so he's hand casting the little creek here whoa almost the tropics there's little places to have a little fish in there oh yeah there's some snails so we gotta like push them up river okay that's how we do we go there and we're gonna scare the fish up to this little canal and then we're gonna trap them in there and then hopefully we use the head net so basically we're working from the end of one river and upstream hopefully the fish scare the fish so they go up to the river and we trap them in a little section where we can go there and use the hand net and try to get them careful uh if you're barefoot the shells okay oh okay yeah go you want that angle like that you're gonna underneath that you're gonna have a better angle here so we uh got the net all the way up here near the river let me go over here to get a better angle it's crazy you gotta be very careful you wear bare feet with these snail shells man they can cut okay so i'm here in front of the so hopefully they work the net all the way over here and this net in here and that's when we're gonna see the fish oh i see fish already there i see them swimming now uh-huh uh two or three of them nice ones so they trapped the fish in here with the head net and all the fishes right here you guys so hopefully we're gonna jump in and uh grab it with our hands that'd be really awesome catching fish with your bare hand there's a lot of snails in there but you know bare feet kind of iffy and i left my uh sandals back there already okay i'm gonna work it up where oh i see a fish surface now i don't know what that is oh tilapia there's tilapia here and uh catfish i think i see some surface but man there's a lot of tree branches everywhere well they're trying to get this branch out of the way so we can see and stuff they're trying to work this out so we can get in here and get the fish so they trapped the fish in this little canal from out there they've been dropped the net two person on the side and they've been walking all the way up here and this is the dead end and that's where we're gonna hopefully trap the fish and uh catch a couple here they try to clear out these uh bushes first so okay so uh we got them trapped pretty good now they're gonna go down there and try to catch them by hand oh i see a fish surfing over here ready come on slowly okay go down slowly and you can catch with your hand come on don't go feel on the bottom there's some fish in here here you record come here record i'll catch them my hands are muddy come on and then go go go catch them in here come on here mom come here record watch
