This program will explore an important, even if small, site in south-central Jordan which is mentioned in the Bible and on the largest monumental inscription in the country, the Mesha Stele or Moabite Stone. Coming from the 9th century BC, the Mesha Stele tells a story similar to one in the book of Kings and helps us see the value of ancient inscriptions to our study of the Bible.
