"Jamaica Farewell" by Hauoli Strummers Ukulele Club of San Diego #TasteOfSummer

I got some good stuff at Alan's Music Center in La Mesa––a blue music stand, a ukulele strap and a song book––so exciting! The store is family owned and has been in business since 1954. It has the largest selection of print music and instructions in San Diego. The owner, Bob, is super nice and helpful.

The song, Jamaica Farewell, is by Harry Belefonte, 1956, performed by the San Diego Ukulele Club at the Pacific Beach Library where they meet every first and third Thursday of the month. I have to catch up practicing more chords so I can strum along with the group. Fortunately I know many of the songs and can sing along.
