Basics of Medieval Armor

In this video I go over the basics of armor in Medieval reenacting. My kit is roughly a late 13th century to early 14th century Templar. A few anachronistic pieces are present, but only for safety purposes. All fabrics, metals, and other materials are period. The shield and ailettes are very close to what they would have been, though there are no extant examples to directly compare. A kit like this might be suitable for certain rebated steel groups though not all. Many require heavier materials and full rigid coverage.
