Successful College Essay

My daughter Bokei applied to a UCB/HKU joint program earlier this year. This is her successful essay submitted to HKU. Bokei applied to multiple elite colleges this year and was admitted to a few top ones. Eventually, she decided to take advantage of the US State Department's language initiative program, NYSLI-Y, to go to Taiwan for one year to study Chinese Language and Culture. She will attend Amherst College in 2025, majoring in International Affairs. Among all her college application essays, she spent the most time on this one. Therefore, I made a video to showcase this essay to HKU.
