A Journey to Remember | Milford Sound Motorcycle Adventure - EP.16

Good morning, how's my hair? I put everything I had underneath the jacket all the thermals and layers and all because it's only 12 degrees I know it looks sunny but it's actually very cold right so today it's a very exciting day because we're going to Milford Sound which are the fjords of New Zealand and I'm gonna do a touristy excursion on a boat to see it all hopefully we'll still have the sun and a beautiful weather so we can see it clearly and the road there supposed to be so scenic so there you go there you go let's go that's a beautiful valley we're still about 64 kilometers away from our final destination from Milford Sound but this is the start of the national park and it's so, so scenic and beautiful okay I stopped here for a little break look at this view getting better and better the thick forest and then we have a bit of snow okay well we gotta keep going because our cruise will start in about one hour so we still need to get there but this road is very scenic scenery is very dramatic I'm not sure if you can see how tall these mountains are but they're really, really tall and we're so close to them you can see a glacier at the top there it's a beautiful road okay we have a bit of a delay some traffic lights here we have little waterfalls going down that rock and it's only nine degrees so cold but yeah the top there I don't know if you got the top like right there there is a glacier so cool okay we will be going now through the tunnel it's a one-way tunnel for now oh wow this tunnel is very, very dark especially in my tinted goggles yeah and it's downhill and we're sort of out of the tunnel but not just yet it's just still a tunnel with it oh yes we are out of the tunnel welcome to the other side wow and this is gonna be a looks like this is gonna be a twisty road to go down I think we're nearly here okay now we need to work out where we're gonna park here so basically there's only one lodge here which is like super expensive like 700 dollars per night or something like that and it's booked out like two months in advance we're in right so Marmine is parked you get a nice view in the background yes so the scenario is you have to leave your bike here at the parking and then you have to walk to the boat for probably 10 minutes I was very lucky with that one because I left all my stuff like my jacket my helmet and my bag I did tourist information so the guy from there said he's gonna look after it so I don't have to carry it around that's awesome and now we have to walk for 10 minutes to get to the boat here we go what can I say it is a pretty magic spot so the car park is here and we have to go all the way around to get to the boats which are there later on where you'll be able to see a lot more of them and you'll get some much better pictures from a much closer look now looking over to the left there you'll see another waterfall the ferry and pixie just just before stand at 90 and 80 meters of height this one on our left here coming through the mountainside stands at about 55 meters of height this is as far as we go you can see Tasman sea just there and if you go keep going that way we get to Australia so close but yet so far that was fun coming here on the top of this mountain there is a glacier here we have I think our last waterfall today and that's it end of the trip it was epic hey so much fun okay I'm all packed up we're gonna have to head back because rain is coming and I mean it rains in this place nearly all the time so we were very lucky with the weather although it's cloudy but it was not wet and you can't even camp here there's only one expensive lodge and that's about it now it looks like rain so I've decided to go all the way to town it's our lucky day I have a cabin and it's actually very affordable for this area because it was only 98 dollars which is here super cheap and today it's gonna be windy and it's gonna be rainy so I was very lucky with that one because I really didn't feel like camping after this cold day okay ah this is gonna be our cute little cabin number 12 oh oh okay doesn't matter we'll drop the load and I think we have to pack that uh number 12 there you go oh it is a very cute cabin it's not all sweet but I don't care it's I don't have to camp okay let's see oh super cute there you go 98 dollars but I don't care oh it's gonna be warm and the view and sheep and all we have it all oh oh and I have my own thingy here excellent
