Tesla is the largest electric car and solar panel company in the United States.
The headquarters is located in Texas, USA.
It produces electric cars, solar panels, and storage equipment and system solutions.
Recently, a local government in China claimed that Tesla is a Chinese-made car.
What is going on?
In this program, we are going to watch a strange news.
Later, we are going to watch an incident where a Chinese bank went bankrupt.
Let's start with Tesla.
Today, Tesla selected a province in the east of China, Gansu Province, to purchase a car.
According to the recently disclosed Gansu government procurement network,
the Gansu Provincial Party Administration, Business Unit and Group Organization
announced the purchase of 2024-2025 New Energy Vehicle Framework Agreement.
Tesla Model Y, the rear-wheel drive version,
entered the procurement list for the new energy vehicle from the government of Gansu Province.
This is the first case of Tesla entering the government procurement list in China.
On 4th July, the Gansu Provincial Government Procurement Center
responsible for the project's contact person told Hongxing News
that there is no official document that prohibits Tesla from entering the government procurement list.
The contact person explained that as long as the car meets a certain price and configuration requirements,
it can be entered.
The contact person also said that the announcement is just an entry.
It is up to the user to decide whether to purchase the car or not.
That night, the Gansu Provincial Government Procurement Center told Hongxing News
that the purchase was made by Tesla.
The procurement center evaluated the car based on the price and configuration requirements
and approved Tesla's entry qualification.
A staff member of the procurement center said
that the government does not purchase imported goods.
Imported goods require special approval.
But Tesla is not an imported car.
It is a domestic car.
The Hongxing News pointed out that 95% of Tesla's parts are produced in China.
Therefore, it is a domestic car.
According to the government procurement law,
it should prioritize the purchase of domestic goods.
Although Tesla is an American brand,
it established a factory in Shanghai.
It also produces and sells in China.
And 95% of the parts produced in Shanghai are domestic.
On 5th July, the Gansu Provincial Government called a hot topic
that Tesla is a domestic car.
Netizens said,
Is Mazda going to change its nationality?
If the land is in China, it is a domestic car.
It is not even a joint venture.
According to your theory, iPhone is also a domestic car.
LV, Adidas, and Nike are also domestic cars.
In our opinion,
In January 2014,
Tesla's founder and CEO,
Musk first proposed
to build a car factory in China.
In June 2017,
he decided to build a factory in Shanghai.
On 10th July 2018,
Musk signed a contract with the Shanghai government
and announced that Tesla's factory in China
will be built in Lingang.
Tesla's entry into China
led to the development of Chinese electric vehicles.
Without Tesla's factory in Shanghai,
there would be no complete supply of Chinese electric vehicles.
This made Chinese electric vehicles
stand out.
But this does not mean that
Tesla's career in China
has always been successful.
Data security has always been a concern of the Chinese government.
The data collected by Tesla
will be transmitted to the United States.
Since 2022,
government agencies such as Zhejiang, Beijing, and Wuhan
have begun to ban Tesla cars from entering China.
When CCTV announced
that smart network cars
produced by foreign companies such as Tesla
would not be allowed to enter Taiwan,
local parking lots
protested against Tesla.
Tesla has already made a compromise
in this regard.
Prior to this,
in October 2021,
China's multi-department joint statement
stipulated that Tesla,
as the first company to participate
in the regulatory review,
has already established a data center in China
to localize data storage.
This means that
all the data produced by
Tesla's long-sale cars in mainland China
will be stored in China.
But the fate of Tesla's car business
really turned around in April this year.
At that time,
Tesla CEO Musk
went to Beijing to meet Chinese Prime Minister Li Keng.
On April 28,
China's Automotive Industry Association
issued a statement
Tesla has reached an agreement
with Baidu on automatic driving system.
Since then,
Tesla has been developing unmanned cars in China
and wants to enter the actual operating stage.
The reason why the CCP
opened a green light for Tesla and Musk
is that China's automotive industry
has encountered technical bottlenecks.
If China's huge automotive industry
wants to break through,
it needs Tesla's technology,
including Tesla's unmanned driving technology.
However, China's policy
towards foreign companies
depends on economic and political needs.
Today, Tesla's electric car
has entered the government's purchase list.
If Tesla is restricted again in the future,
Tesla's future in the Chinese market
is full of uncertainty.
It is possible that the government's
partial restriction on Tesla's cars in China
is just a show of force.
Because this policy is not in line
with the national security of the whole country
I'm afraid it's hard to be true.
There are many reasons
for China's strong development
of the electric car industry.
The current Chinese economy
is in a serious dilemma
and the CCP urgently needs
the so-called new industry
to support the CCP's plan.
However, this kind of transformation
is not successful.
China's economy is still
in a state of rapid decline.
The real estate crisis
has directly impacted the banking industry
and there have been many explosive incidents.
There was news the other day
that the Bank of Hong Kong
was involved in a large-scale
extortion case involving more than
HK$1 billion in gold.
Many residents rushed to
the Bank of Hong Kong's main bank
to ask for money back.
The video online shows
that at the gate of the Bank of Hong Kong
many people protested for their rights
and called for money back.
The relevant authorities
also dispatched police to arrest them.
The public data shows
that the Bank of Hong Kong
is the only city-level commercial bank
It opened in June 2018
and is listed in Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
The latest report shows
that in 2023, the Bank of Hong Kong
had a net income of HK$112.97 billion
and was down by 11.15%.
Its net net profit was HK$10.36 billion
and was down by 33.13%.
The above-mentioned incident
is related to the Nanchang City's
financial registration service center.
According to the Chinese media's
Economic Observation Department,
the investment products recommended
by the financial registration center
have recently been subject to large-scale
violations and many investors
have not been able to repay their
loans and interest.
At present, the center's business
has been shut down.
As far as I know, the incident
involved more than 2,200 investors
with a deposit of more than
HK$8 billion.
Most of the customers are
locals in Nanchang City.
Among them, there are more than
60-year-old citizens and
investors who have invested
between HK$1 million and HK$2 million.
However, many Chinese official banks
say that the Bank of Hong Kong
has nothing to do with the financial
registration center
and is only an open-account bank.
On the one hand, Chinese banks
often launch various financial
products for their customers
and it is difficult for them to
distinguish the actual relationship
between these financial products
and the bank.
On the other hand,
the Hong Kong West Bank
has a series of incidents
that are related to the
bank's bad business.
The Hong Kong West Bank's
Deputy Head Yu Kim
was arrested for committing
a serious crime.
In addition, many officials
in the Hong Kong Bank recently
were arrested, including
the president of the bank,
and the banks have been
facing doubts about
the financial ability of the
Some people also say that
the incident in Hong Kong
is a big drag on the
is the re-enactment of the incident in Chunshin Bank, Hainan Province.
According to a Chinese media outlet,
the Bank of Hong Kong gradually restored its normal payment function on 29 June.
The staff of the bank also emphasized
that the bank's current deposits and withdrawals are all normal,
but it seems that some people are still unable to make regular payments.
On 4 July, the Hong Kong and Western Southwestern Provinces' Local Monetary Authority issued a notice,
claiming that some people are gathering at the main gate of the Bank of Hong Kong,
posting false news on the Internet,
claiming that they are disrupting the work order of financial institutions,
and threatening them to be punished by the law.
However, the official notice was soon exposed by the mainland netizens.
Why didn't they say anything about the gathering?
If they didn't say the reason, they said it was a rumor.
As soon as there was a problem, they immediately cleared the relationship.
What is false news?
They didn't say anything about the situation.
The most obvious arrangement was that the prison was not strong enough,
and the payment was out of order.
It is difficult to make payments in Hainan Province.
The bank has not been able to pay the money yet.
