Copa America 2024 | Group D : Brasil - Colombia

What was at stake was finishing first in that group to avoid Uruguay in the quarterfinals Colombia extends its unbeaten streak to 26 matches It began in this impressive way with a powerful shot that hit James Rodríguez's crossbar It was Colombia that sent the first warning but then Rafinha scored a goal There was nothing to be done about Camilo Vargas Great set piece by Rafinha It was 1-0 for the green-yellow team Two players on the wall Vargas's shot but the ball still goes into the net Then James Rodriguez with the cross This goal by Davinson Sánchez will remain controversial Some say they exist out of place others say they don 't Here the one that seems most advanced is Córdoba Then the image they showed us was Davinson Sánchez's left foot that was forward Another one from James who tried to surprise Alisson Bécquer who was off guard Then this controversial move would also come Vinicius in one-on-one against Dani Muñoz who crosses The Brazilian brings it down Everyone thought it was a penalty It was reviewed by the VAR It is a penalty to me It's a penalty for me but it's okay Then Alisson Bécquer in the second half They get into trouble Díaz shoots Alisson solves it And from that same play Colombia continues with a goal later on Punctuates James Cordoba who extends between three It seemed the ball wasn't reaching Muñoz But Muñoz scores his second goal of this Copa América in great fashion The score was tied That ball takes forever to reach Dani Muñoz What defines it greatly Later Rafinha would try again And nearby the ball was rolling On another free kick All of that happened in the second half Here Colombia is going to steal this ball Luis Díaz with the cross And look at the one that's going to be missed Rafael Santos Borré No he's not sleeping tonight That move will turn his mind upside down One more Andreas Pereira and the goal of the match Camilo Vargas' goal sends Colombia to the quarterfinals Very well both goalkeepers Alison Becker and Camilo Vargas Final score 1-1 between Brazil and Colombia
