(Laliga 2023/2024): Highlights ALAVÉS - GIRONA

Surprise really as now both sets of players make their way out onto the pitch Deportivo Alaves and Girona two sides currently in form looking right hand side the head up and already there is the opening goal it's taken three minutes it's from the first corner of the game it's Eric Garcia the man who scored the goal away at Mestalla last weekend Belglorioso Simeone goes back to Curidi the quick response 11 minutes into the game it's all square it was a lovely bit of work down the left he needs to control it first time finish lovely ball into the box here the header straight on target straight at Gazzaniga it was Carlos Vicente who got on the come in now for the hosts it's Carlos Vicente all the way to the back post a great header on target from Rafa Marin just parried away they move here Carlos Vicente plays it across and Kike Garcia all he had to do is help it in he could have a very serious injury in a pre-season game but now it's a chance here for Girona it's Savio one-on-one against the and it's a big save from Jesus Owono the ball goes straight back to Savio chance not completely over just yet for Girona with their possession play they don't just pass it around between the defenders hold on they've passed it through the Alaves defenders and that is a magnificent finish Yangel Herrera picks out the top corner in some style and gives Girona the lead for the second time in this to Barcelona not completely worked out under Xavi as now Artem Dobik is in behind here he's in the box here the Ukrainian it's a brilliant save again from Jesus Owono in the first half he denied Savio one-on-one as Ivan Martin lays it off to Dobik in fact he lets it roll through the legs of Miguel Gutiérrez Savio with the outside of his boots that would have been have been made in the second half now as Alex Sola comes to cut on to his left it's a lovely effort but ends up putting it straight at chance still alive here for Alaves it's Ruben Duarte who plays the ball back in looking for Tenaglia who wins the header it's back across a touch and the header it's a late equalizer Yunguridi made it one-one in the first half he's made it two-two at the operations Terry that they're the side who needed the point I felt it really refreshing that both teams went all out for the win Girona got top four but they won second Alaves are safe from relegation but they see Girona as a scout
