£1 vs £1,000,000 vs £1 Billion FOOTBALL PITCH - What's the difference?

Ever wondered what the difference between a £1, a £1,000,000 and a £1,000,000 football pitch is?
Well today you're going to find out as I explore everything from the toilets to the turf. Also at
the end of this video there's a surprising football pitch that could blow all of these
out the water when it comes to price. First up let's head to the £1 pitch.
Right so I've just arrived at the £1 pitch and the first thing that's different to the other ones
is that you've got to set everything up yourself. Now let's take a look at the
changing rooms at this pitch and to be honest it looks very much just like a shed.
I tried to get in but the doors were either locked or just closed off completely and for
some unknown reason there seems to be a lot of damage to the doors. There's also a sign telling
you to clean up any dog poo and surprisingly a referee's room which was quite unexpected but
once again it seems like it's seen better days. There's also barbed wire all over the change rooms
for some unknown reason so I resulted to kitting up on this little concrete seating area just outside
which did the job just fine. Now we have to make the journey to the pitch.
Right so one of the nightmares about this pitch is the fact you have got to walk
about 400 metres to get to the actual goal. So once you've arrived at the pitch you've then
got to clean up any litter that's been left around. Now the goalposts aren't too bad but
the problem is you've only got one stanch. Next up we have to bring our own net and put it up
ourselves. This takes around five minutes. After doing that the end result looks like this. Not too
bad. So the one thing with this pitch is the surface and sometimes the grass is cut sometimes
it's not it's just luck of the draw. As you can see the grass is super long on the one pound pitch
which isn't great but if you're lucky you might come on a day where it's been freshly cut which
does make it a lot nicer to play on. Looking at the goal mouth it's basically just dirt and causes
the ball to bobble a lot making it very difficult for the keeper but more on that in a bit. Right
first things first we're going to test a few pings on this pitch see how it feels. It feels absolutely
fine and something that you can't replicate on asher turf is the feeling of striking a ball on
grass it's just so much nicer. Next up I did a bit of sprinting and changing direction and on this
pitch I didn't really notice any negatives. Maybe in the winter that would be a different story.
Also something that really surprised me was the dribbling. I thought it'd be a lot more
bobbly than it is although the main negative is the grass was very long so it slowed the ball down
quite a bit. You know what that was actually not too bad at all. Next up I wanted to pass the ball
straight at the camera to see if there's any bobbles and the ball did veer off course slightly.
So I'm trying to find the lines but it's very rare to actually find a day where the lines are
showing on this pitch. This should be the corner flag right here but as you can see there's nothing
to indicate where it ends. So yeah not having the white lines is a negative. Sometimes they do put
them on but depending on the weather they'll only last for a few days. Something else that you get
with the £1 pitch and certainly won't get with the £1,000,000 or £1,000,000 pitches is the
fact that you get dogs chasing after the ball. Right next up I'm going to go in goal and I'm
actually not looking forward to this one because the ground is rock solid.
Yeah let's just say being a keeper on this pitch is not fun. The goal mouth literally has stones in
it making every dive super painful. But finally I wanted to do some shooting and whilst this was
absolutely fine in fact I really like kicking the ball on grass as opposed to 3g. What I didn't like
is that after every shot you've got to run after the ball. Right so that's the £1 pitch done and
honestly it was better than I expected but next up we move on to the £1,000,000 pitch. Check it out.
Right so I'm here at the £1,000,000 pitch and more specifically the car park because unlike
on the £1 pitch all you have to do to get to the actual goals is just turn around and walk on.
So first things first with the £1,000,000 pitch it's got a nice clubhouse which is a good sign.
It's also got changing rooms that I can actually get in. I'm really excited to see how these
compare to the £1,000,000 changing rooms. Got a stretcher which obviously we don't have on
at the £1 pitch. These are pretty cool there's a manager's office, changing rooms, some fairly
decent showers and even an old massage bed. The referee's room is probably the best one out the lot
very nice. This is the tunnel that the players would take to the pitch but keep this in mind for
when we check out the most expensive pitch later on. This pitch also has a pretty big stand which
offered a nice view of the game. It's a pretty good view you know and even had seats for press
and commentators. The goals are far far nicer than on the £1 pitch. They've got box nets which you'd
love to see and they're all in perfect condition. So I laced my boots up and it was time to test out
the £1,000,000 pitch. A brand new 4G pitch costs around £1,000,000 to make so let's see how it
compares to the grass. Do you know what I actually prefer hitting it on the grass it just feels a lot
more smoother and I feel like I'm getting caught up a little bit on the 3G. I did some dribbling
and as to be expected the surface was perfect so if there's any errors it's down to you on this
pitch. There was no bubbles when it came to the passing test either because as you can see the
surface is just perfectly flat. All right now I'm going to jump in goal on the £1,000,000 pitch
and honestly I'm looking forward to this one a lot more because it was actually really painful
on the £1 pitch so yeah let's do it. What I can say is that it's a lot nicer diving on 4G than
the rocks and stones on the £1 pitch. I finished off with some shooting and honestly it's really
nice to kick a ball without being worried about it bobbling and when the ball goes in in these box
nets it just looks so much better. Now we're going to head to the £1,000,000,000 football pitch.
This is Old Trafford, one of the world's most iconic football stadiums.
When I first walked out to see the stadium this was an unreal moment,
the amount of history here is just insane.
I'm going to be checking out all aspects of this £1,000,000,000 stadium but first off let's start
with the dressing rooms. So the changing rooms are obviously massive with individual seats with
players names on it, there's a fridge full of sports drinks and going into the next section
there's even two ice baths and comparing these showers to the last ones is different level.
And then I got kitted up and can we just compare where I put my boots on in the £1,000,000,000 pitch
compared to the £1 pitch. This is me walking to the pitch at all the different price points.
Here's just a quick reminder of the £1,000,000,000 tunnel. Now here's the £1,000,000,000 entrance.
This is the difference in the surface. Now let's take a look at the goalposts.
Perfect box nets but to be fair they are very similar to the goals on the £1,000,000 pitch.
Now the surface, just look at that. So the grass here for every five blades of grass there's one
artificial grass and then when it's not watered like today it does become a little bit sticky.
I did a little drop test and as you'd expect it's absolutely perfect.
That is as good as it gets to be fair. You can see from this shot it's literally like a bowling
green. I did a few pings and I can definitely say it was by far the nicest surface to kick on
but no real surprises there and for some reason it seemed easier to control the ball on here.
Maybe it's just because of how good the surface is.
If there's any bad touches on this pitch it's all down to you.
Dribbling on here was obviously just perfect but as I mentioned earlier the surface was a
little bit sticky so sometimes the ball would get stuck under my feet.
I felt super quick running on here too. For some reason like the £1,000,000 pitch
4G just makes me feel a bit slower.
Next up was a bit of goalkeeping and realistically I don't think there's much
difference between diving around on this pitch and the £1,000,000 4G pitch.
And the final thing to test on this pitch was the shooting and it was just the dream.
Now as I've finished testing out this pitch there is one more surprising
place that could be worth more. Let's get on the train and head to London.
Now this pitch is said to be worth billions not because there's anything particularly
special about the pitch itself but because of the land it's on and where it is.
Brucey at Dortmund were paying £1,000 an hour to train here ahead of their
Champions League game in London so I went to try and find it.
It's located in the city of London and is on some of the most expensive land in the entire UK
or in the world for that matter. So I got there and it was blocked off. Very disappointing.
But I'll insert some pictures now of what it looks like and it's pretty impressive.
