#15 Greek Island hopping with a Bike // Bike Touring Europe

Our lunch spot or brunch because we haven't had breakfast couldn't be any more perfect. Alex has the sweetest tooth I know and even he says that this is... How can I say that in English? Crazy. Good morning. Well, it's already noon but we had a very nice chilly morning. Chilled morning. We met some really nice people not only yesterday on the ferry ride also bike tourists from England but also this morning and well we kind of met yesterday but a really nice couple from New Zealand. They're traveling Europe by bike for years. We are ready to leave Kefalonia headed north where we're taking the ferry to Lefaka. We left the coastline of Kefalonia and now let the ascent begin. We have an incline over 10 kilometers ahead of us. Oh thankfully there are some clouds because it was unbearably hot. About three more kilometers of incline and then there should be a nice downhill part and there's the ocean again. Kind of crossed the island. That's where we started. We drove here we're here now and then we're going north to Skarduwa. Seven kilometers of incline is done. About three more to go and then downhill. Alex is doing the first chain exchange. You can see the old chain and the new chain. Guess which is which. Waited one hour in the sun. As you can see Vanessa is in her best mood today. Let's check out that mirror. I have to be in a bad mood more often when Alex gets more comfortable with the camera apparently. It's a masterpiece. Alex glued it back together. Let's see if that's going to last for some time. Good morning. It's our last full stage in Greece today and we're a bit sad. The sky is sad because it's been raining. There's been a heavy thunderstorm last night. We're really excited about Albania which will enter tomorrow and we've had two chilled days here at this campground that's close to the ocean. It was really nice. I fought off some sharks as you can see by the remains on my forehead and now we're really excited about a beautiful day. Last day in Greece today. Tonight one more time going to a Greek restaurant enjoying the amazing Greek food and then I think we've had a pretty good two weeks here in Greece. We've enjoyed it so much and yeah let's go. What a beautiful start to this morning. We just left the campground and as you can see it's very slippery. What's the characteristic about today's route? It's very steep. I think it's exhausting. It's so beautiful. So Alex, it's your last day in Greece. Any last words? So talkative my travel buddy. We have lots and lots to talk about during the day. Not. Well then enjoy this view.
