Our question of the day is when to say "me neither" vs. "me either."

We say this when we want to agree with a negative statement. So if someone says "I like ice cream" - that's a positive statement - we'd say "me too." If they say "I don't like broccoli" - that's a negative statement because of the word don't - we'd say "me neither" if we also do not like broccoli.

The correct phrase is "me neither." Me either is not technically correct, but many people do say it to mean the same thing - I also don't like broccoli.

So me neither and me either are the same - I agree with your negative statement - but the best form is "me neither."
