UNSTOPPABLE Boulter! | Highlights - Katie Boulter v Petra Martic | Rothesay International Eastbourne

Oh stunning on the stretch but no problem for Katie Boulter. Real positivity. They're too good. Once again something you were talking about Nomi. The start goes from good to great. Oh yes everything going Boulter's way right now. Super set of tennis. That's another really quality game from Boulter. Returning a little better in this game. A couple of really good deep returns. Oh it's too good and this time Martic does break. That's superb. Oh that's extraordinary. A bit of improvisation from the British number one to get herself out of jail. That's a superb game in truth from Martic. Fine response isn't it after the double fault. Oh bend it like Boulter. Oh it's so good. Katie Boulter. It got a little scary in that second set. Had to save three set points and had to recover from five one down in the tiebreaker. Lovely sportsmanship from Petra Martic but it's Boulter who moves through to round two in eSport. She was phenomenal in set one. It was a little up and down in set two but comes through to book a meeting with Jelena Ostapenko in the next round. Defeats Martic 6-1, 7-6 in an hour and 37 minutes. Katie what a match. What a win and that tiebreak. Your perspective on that thrilling end to that match against Petra. Yeah I mean that was a little stressful. A little bit more dramatic than I hoped it would be but um yeah I mean I played a tiebreak actually a couple weeks ago which I didn't come on the winning end of and it was super tight and I had that in the back of my head when I was playing that one there and I'm just very happy to be through that. I mean I know Petra very well. I lost her on these courts last year so for me to come back here and um play her again it's a little bit of deja vu but this time I got the winning end so I'm happy. Yeah and I think the crowd are happy too. So you had to save I think three set points. There was drama of course because of the challenge as well when that serve was in. What was going through your mind? I just wanted to finish I mean as quickly as possible. No I mean she's a fighter. She fights till the end. She makes it so hard for you. You know I'm just really happy to be here in eSport and I absolutely love coming back here even though I see a lot of seagulls when I'm serving. It's not that fun but I do enjoy being down here and the sun shines out so that there's a smile on my face always. And your grass court form is excellent following the tournament win in Nottingham. Are you feeling strong going into the rest of the week and of course with Wimbledon to look forward to? Yeah absolutely I've got nothing to lose. This week is a fantastic week to come out here and play in front of you guys and just get some practice, more practice on the grass courts because we always need it. So yeah just happy to be out here through to the next round playing another match. I hope you guys can get behind me. We'll see you again tomorrow. Ladies and gentlemen, Katie Volta.
