On June 10, four American teachers at Cornell College visited a park in China for the 11th time.
They are still in the hospital for treatment.
The U.S. media has made a wide range of reports on this.
White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan,
U.S. Ambassador to China,
three members of Congress in Oklahoma,
and the governor of that state expressed concern.
They hope to ensure that the victims are treated properly
and return to the United States as soon as possible.
This Tuesday, a U.S. news agency interviewed a teacher
at Cornell College in China, David Zabuna.
Zabuna said,
When they got off the mountain,
I heard a scream from behind.
I turned around and found a man rushing at me with a knife.
I didn't react immediately.
I didn't know what was going on.
I thought my colleague had been pushed.
Then he, holding a knife,
seemed to want to push me for some reason.
Zabuna told the IPR news in the ward.
Then I turned around and looked at my shoulder,
and I realized I was stabbed.
After that, the photos and videos of the incident
began to circulate on Chinese social media sites.
But most of them have been deleted by the Chinese Communist Party.
China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Tuesday
that the four teachers at Cornell College were involved in a random incident.
Later, the Jilin Municipal Public Security Bureau
published a statement saying
that they had quickly arrested Cui Xing, the suspect.
As far as I know,
on the morning of June 10,
four foreign teachers from Beihua University in Jilin
were attacked while traveling in the Beishan Park in Jilin.
The police initially judged that the incident was an accident.
After the Chinese government settled this matter,
the online review was relaxed,
and some small comments began to emerge.
Some Chinese netizens said this was a terrible incident,
while others questioned
why the Chinese media did not report the attack.
A Chinese netizen commented on social media
that four foreigners were accompanied by locals to visit the park.
Even if they ran into each other,
they must have been accompanied by their companions.
Why did they run to the foreigners?
And in China's environment,
who goes out with a knife?
Some people also questioned that the Chinese police reported that
no matter who met who,
Westerners are used to saying sorry,
and there will be no quarrels.
This incident is either deliberately colliding for tea,
or reporting is not a fact.
More netizens questioned
whether the Chinese official media
has repeatedly incited anti-foreign and anti-American emotions
that may have led to this attack.
In 2020, when the US COVID-19 epidemic was serious,
many people in China were in disarray.
Some even lit fireworks
to celebrate more than 100,000 confirmed cases in the United States.
There are also weekly magazines
celebrating the spread of the US-Japan epidemic.
For this, the cold-eyed financial account
wrote on the X platform that
there must be more than 50% of people in China who think so.
This is the basis for the CCP to dare to compete with the United States.
The foreign community believes
that the four Americans were assassinated this time
was not an accident,
but an education in hatred of the United States and Japan
that the CCP has been doing for many years.
Let's take a look at a few anti-American propaganda posters
released by the Chinese government in the early days.
A Chinese netizen said in a social media X message that
this is the reaction of people to the CCP's propaganda.
For many years, the situation has been deteriorating.
Due to the CCP's review system,
most people do not listen to either side or have other views.
In addition, the CCP promotes the US and the West every day
to suppress Chinese news.
A netizen wrote that
they criticize the media every day.
Now the Chinese have taken action.
For a long time, the CCP has made the official media and the education system
to blame the foreign forces for trying to curb the rise of China
and to make the United States and other Western countries
into imaginary enemies
to incite nationalist sentiment.
Some netizens believe that
ideological propaganda and hatred speech are not harmless.
It will incite hatred,
and it may even lead to violence.
We must face this problem
and take measures to deal with it.
American people have said
they are very worried about going to China
and feel insecure.
The senior researcher of Harvard University
and retired air force officer Robert Sperding
said on X that
when the CCP tells the Chinese
that all Americans are spies,
this will happen.
However, after the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs
set the tone for this matter as an accident,
it still claims that China is the safest place in the world.
China is one of the safest countries in the world.
Some Western netizens said
China is a relatively safe tourist destination.
The only reason is that the police are everywhere.
And as Beijing monitors the every move of the Americans,
where are the police or government officials
when this happens?
In addition, from the photos,
it seems that not many people are willing to help these victims.
This is not a good thing for foreigners in China.
Another Western netizen said,
no one helps the injured in China
because the assailant may be accused of causing harm
and have to pay lifelong compensation.
In addition, China's security is a mystery.
They are conducting a public review after the incident.
You may think that the surveillance will crack the case quickly,
but face is more important to him,
so the news is suppressed.
Another Western netizen added that
China is not one of the safest countries in the world.
The propaganda of foreign hatred and nationalism there
will definitely lead to violence against foreigners.
The United States is a country with an economic technology lead,
a democratic political system, and a free culture of thought.
Why don't Chinese people learn from it with admiration?
Instead, they look at it with malicious eyes.
Many people are deeply confused about this.
In fact, commentator Qi Hui pointed out in an overseas Chinese media article
that the Chinese Communist Party has shown and exaggerated
the reason why modern China is extremely poor and weak.
It is caused by the aggression of the West, such as the United States.
It is the psychological expansion of the Chinese people
who have developed a strong hatred of the United States and the West since childhood.
This kind of psychological expansion
has become the basis of Western civilization
that represents the entire human development
and progress direction, including democracy, freedom, and human rights.
Although it eventually evolved into an extreme nationalism,
there are also the events of Feng Shui Cao Dong and Tufa.
This kind of frivolous and powerful extreme nationalism
will be ferocious and indestructible.
For example, the former Japanese leader Abe Jin-san
was assassinated on July 8 last year.
It caused a wave of happy reactions and widespread slogans in China.
A social media user named Zhang Beihai
wrote to his 2.6 million fans on Twitter
that Abe Jin-san was dead.
Another Weibo user further said
that his entire family should die.
Another person joked that
just received the news that our President Kennedy
met Japanese Prime Minister Abe Jin-san.
After the 9-11 incident in 2001 in the United States,
the people around the world
sympathized with the misfortune of the sad American people.
But many Chinese people were happy.
The above reactions are all under the brainwashing of the CCP.
Extreme nationalism is the ugly, coarse,
and self-indulgent behavior of the Chinese people.
What is more terrible is that
the rampant extreme nationalism
not only expresses a kind of
frivolous and indestructible emotion,
but also provides fertile soil for the CCP's extreme system,
which makes the process of democratic and free
in China extremely difficult.
At present, many Western experts and scholars
are very concerned and worried about
the so-called nationalism phenomenon in China.
Wang Dan, the leader of the June 4th Institute,
said in an interview with Free Asia Radio that
true nationalism must be expressed as
a citizen's sense of responsibility
for the welfare of the new king of the world,
a critical reflection on the history and status
of the nation and the country,
and actively promote social progress.
True nationalism must actively explore
the history of its own nation
and understand what happened in the past.
In other words,
resisting the past is the foundation of nationalism.
Such nationalism is rational and mature nationalism.
In a certain historical period,
it is a driving force for social progress
and the foundation for rebuilding the national spirit.
The excessive collective emotions that occur in China
do not conform to the true basic form of nationalism.
Therefore, I do not think that
China has a truly influential existence of nationalism.
Today, the so-called little pinks in China,
their declaration of nationalism
is completely in the form of the eyes of the CCP's ruling authorities.
When the authorities open one eye and close the other,
they are boiling with enthusiasm.
As long as the authorities express opposition,
they immediately close their eyes.
What is true nationalism?
This is clearly a kind of collective behavior
manipulated by the authoritarian government.
Of course, the current out-of-the-way trend in China
is still worth our attention,
because it is a kind of expression of collective emotions.
This kind of collective emotion,
rather than the love for the nation,
is more like the self-abasement in the bone,
the expression of collective consciousness.
Because only the self-abased
will feel that the people around them
are all hurting their own people,
so they subconsciously hold hatred in their hearts.
Okay, that's all for today.
