How To Style White Sneakers On A Petite Body Type! Tips, Tricks & Outfit Ideas!

Hi guys, welcome back to another video. Today's video I'm sharing petite style tips on how to style white sneakers. Now you may be thinking, are there actually petite specific style tips on how to wear white sneakers? Yes. Just a few of them. I'm going to go through just a few simple quick tips and then I'm going to share with you guys some really cool outfit ideas that you can wear with white sneakers. So as many of you may know, I recently purchased the Air Force Ones by Nike. I have been obsessed with these sneakers since I've got them. And I'm literally wearing them every single day. They are my most worn shoe since I've purchased them. So again, I'm going to share some quick tips and then I'm going to share you some awesome outfit ideas you can wear with these sneakers and the outfit ideas are different styles. So stay tuned for that and let's just go ahead and hop right in. Now before I get into the tips, well I guess this is also a tip, but I always get asked how do I care for my white sneakers? How do I keep them looking white? Literally you guys, Mr. Clean. And they come out looking brand spanking new every single time. Also my recommendation is don't wear white sneakers when it's muddy, when it's bad weather condition outside. Wear them when it's dry outside, it's sunny, the weather's suitable for it. You're going to keep them a lot cleaner that way and they're going to last a lot longer for you as well. And my first style tip, especially for petites, when it comes to wearing white sneakers is making sure your jeans hit you at the correct length. You don't want that scrunchiness at the ankle. I talk about that all the time. In my opinion, that totally kills the look. You can have a very chic outfit, but if your jeans are not hitting you at the right spot with the white sneaker, it's going to kill the look. So always make sure you either cuff your jeans, cut them, or purchase the correct length. But what I think looks even better is having it slightly above your ankle for a crop look and wearing no-show socks. So make sure your socks don't show because I do think that kills the look as well. I will link my favorite no-show socks down below for you guys if you're looking for any. Okay, so I know not everybody will agree with this tip and that's totally fine if you wear sneakers this way and you love it, rock it, don't listen to me. But I don't really recommend wearing white sneakers with the midi style dress, especially if you are petite. If you're tall, I think it looks amazing because of the long legs. I don't think it's personally really flattering, at least for my petite body type. I don't have slim legs. I don't have longer legs for a petite. So I feel like it makes me look very stocky, if that makes sense, and I don't think it looks flattering. I really prefer that midi style with heels. That's pretty much the only way I'll wear a midi skirt or dresses is with heels. But when it comes to wearing white sneakers with a girlier piece like dresses or skirts, I really think what looks good on a petite is going for the mini style. So a mini skirt or a mini dress, you show off more leg. And I really recommend going for a sneaker that has a higher platform. The Nike Air Force 1s have a higher platform. So it gives you a little bit of height, which I think overall makes it look even more flattering. All right, so now let's get into the different outfits. So this one is what I like to call sporty casual. Now I'm not going to keep these glasses on for this video. I feel like this kind of looks ridiculous wearing glasses indoors, but this is just a really fun outfit for running errands or if you're traveling. I love this look. So these joggers, you guys, are actually petite. Love them. They're from Amazon. I think they're under $40. The quality is amazing. They're kind of more of like a sporty material. They have pockets. And I have them in a small petite, although they are big on me now since I've lost weight after the baby. And I am going to purchase these in an extra small. But I believe the petite inseam is 25 or 26. It also comes in regular length if you're not a petite. And I love these. I think they also come in a couple other colors, but I love the black. They're just like a tapered leg. They're so comfy, stretchy, and they have a thick waistband that doesn't fold over. This look I like to call a sporty chic. So it's sporty just like the first outfit, but that one was more casual. This one I feel like looks more chic because I added a trench coat to this outfit, and I am wearing leggings, the white sneakers, and a basic crop t-shirt underneath. And I think this is also a really fun way to style white sneakers. It's comfortable. It's easy. It's stylish. And with this outfit, it's a mix of chic and sporty and casual and comfortable. I just wore this outfit when I went outside with the kids before I started filming this video. And I love it. And this look I like to call just casual. A basic tee like what I was just wearing with the leggings, ripped skinny jeans, and the white sneakers, of course. So again, really easy way to style the white sneakers. As you can tell, I have these jeans cuffed because I do like them, again, a little bit more cropped, sitting above the ankle when I'm wearing sneakers, or really any shoe to be honest. And this is a super easy, simple outfit to recreate. Just get a basic black tee, some medium wash jeans. Doesn't have to have rips in them if you're not into it. You can layer pretty much any outerwear piece over this if you want to. Grab your white sneakers and there you go. I feel like this is a really cool, casual outfit that you can wear with sneakers. How about a girlier outfit idea with white sneakers? So this one, I'm wearing the basic white tee. It's the same exact one as the black one, but in white. And then this denim jacket from Levi's, this tweed skort from Abercrombie. Again, it's a skort. So it looks like a skirt, but it's actually shorts, which I think is very practical, honestly. And I really like this outfit. Now, I could not decide whether I wanted to share with you guys this outfit with a denim jacket or with a trench coat. So I decided to share both. I can't decide which one I like more. So how about you guys tell me, do you like this outfit with a denim jacket more or do you like it with the trench coat pictured here in the b-rolls? I really like both. I think I'm leaning more towards the trench coat, but then I really also like this denim jacket with it too. So it's really hard for me to pick a favorite sometimes, but I think I shared this denim jacket with you guys several times. It's from Levi's. I love it. It has a higher price point, but I think it's totally worth it. I love the fit of it and the quality is incredible. The quality is there. You will have this for probably the rest of your life because of how amazing it is. And I think this looks really cute with the white sneakers, the Air Force ones. And again, you know, I obviously recommend these sneakers, but if you already have white sneakers you love, just use those. You don't have to keep purchasing new ones. And this last and final outfit idea with sneakers, I like to call casual chic, keeping it casual with medium wash denim jeans, the white sneakers, but then I'm making it a little bit more chic by adding a collared shirt in this silk material. And especially since it's in 100% silk, it definitely gives more of a luxe chic look to it, but still keeping it casual with the white sneakers and the medium wash jeans. Love this combination. Really simple, really easy. And I really like it. You can even skip out the sneakers again and make this a totally different outfit with heels and wear it to work, which I think would look cool. And then you can switch out the heels with white sneakers and have a casual chic weekend look. So this blouse I've shared many times. It's by LilySilk. I'm wearing it in the size extra small and also FYI, I'm a 32DD and this fits amazing. So all of my girls who have a larger chest size looking for a well-fitted blouse, this is it. And I'm surprised that I can fit into an extra small with my larger than normal chest size, which is so amazing. So I totally recommend this blouse. Obviously it's in 100% silk, so it is more pricey because of the material, but it is so high quality. It looks and feels expensive and it's really amazing.
