Lionel Messi 2019 - The One Man Army

It's majestic from the best player in the world. From perhaps the best player we've ever seen. Wow, look at that. I can understand why. He is a god of the game. The god of the game. Messi drags through. Messi. Lovely turn. Still Messi. What a footwork. Lea Messi. Oh, lovely footwork from Messi. Still keeps the ball. Messi. Messi gets the equaliser. Astonishing goal from the little genius. The ball whipped in by Rakitic, I believe it was. Messi on the left foot. Messi over the top. 1-0 to Barcelona. It's Messi again. And... A challenge on Jürgen. He comes away with it and he gets it. Shoot! Oh, he's done it. Look at his face like that. It's a have-a-blow for Manchester United. Messi with a goal. Messi. Oh, it's won nearly. Crazy. That's the only word you can't use. They should name a constellation in the heavens after Lionel Messi. He finds Messi. Messi over the top towards Suarez. 4-2. Lionel Messi, apart from the hat-trick, also gets Luis Suarez back amongst the scorers. Competition, but that man is the greatest of all time. Spotted the run from left back of Jordi Alba. Here's Coutinho. Leads it for Suarez. And Messi! You see, he's from another planet in time, isn't he? Past Pau Lopez. That's for sure. Messi! 1-0 to Barcelona. Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Lionel Messi. Here's Messi. Up against Sergio Gomez. 2-0. Almost inevitable. Face. Gifted back. Messi! All of a sudden, Barcelona's champion goes pup. Some might say foolhardy. Lionel Messi. It's another brilliant challenge. He's still on the ball, though. Suarez! Messi swings away from Phil Jones. And then gets the nutmeg. And here they come again. Here's Messi. Splits the shot. And still. And still Messi! Oh, good save. He's got room now. It's Lionel Messi! 1-1. The feet. Lionel Messi. Messi! 1-0, 1-0, 1-0, 1-0. Lionel Messi. 1-0 to Barcelona. Lionel Messi with the goal. Gets it second. Direct free kick. Look at the response of Diego Lopez. Guys beyond human. Messi with a mis-touch, but he plays it to perfection. Drives in. Pasconi. On to Suarez. Five on the wall. Messi drives. And pings post. He went to the keeper's side. It's 4-3. miraculous. Oh, goodness me. You thought you'd seen it all. Lionel Messi. No wonder he's smiling. Look at his face. He's run out of words to describe himself. He's run out of magic in his head, because he's just produced one of the best moments of his, I don't know, 650-goal career, Simon? Oh, you rarely see Messi with a smile that wide on his face. I need to show him why again. Messi's got Suarez in. It's a fantastic ball by Messi. Oh, Alenia is in for the composure. You bet. Is he wearing the number 10? His feet. Samedo ahead of him. It's a lovely ball if Samedo can get there. Oh, it's in the penalty area. Just listen to what they're shouting. Messi, Messi. Vidal plays a big part here. Messi's onside. It falls to him. Look at the quick feet. Right foot, left foot. Back of the net before you know anything. Messi's onside. And he usually finishes. Slipped through nicely for Messi. Messi on his left. Messi into the area. Messi for the opener. It's Messi! And it's 1-0 for Argentina. Well, it had to be him. It's been a brave, disciplined performance from Nicaragua. They want to trip him. They want to foul him. They're trying to stop him. You can't touch him. You can't get near him when he's like that. Don't stop. I can tell my kids and my grandkids one day because he's that good. He can decide a game at this level. The top, cutting-edge level of this football. Of the game we love. He can decide it as and when he decides. I mean, the individual brilliance. The way he appreciates teammates when he's running at high pace. His distribution. His timing of the passes. Decision-making is all phenomenal. And then he executes. It's Messi. Off he goes again. Oh, he's squirted under him. He's got another one. Have you hardly ever seen David de Gea make a mistake like that? Not on a big night like this. He's going to try his shot. He's blocked and careful. It's Messi! Leo Messi gets the hat-trick. It's Alba. And it's Messi! Following the leader. Following this guy. He's got everything. I mean, he's one of the best, if not the best, to play of all time. He's just a phenomenal player. To be here today, as I said, I'm delighted to be here. I feel blessed. Whilst there's a lot of players out there content with 1-0. Keeping the ball. Keeping possession. Every time he's had it in the last 10 or 15 minutes. He still wants more. He's looking for more. Look at the pace. Look at the speed. Look at the intricacy of the touch. The control. Oh my goodness! That may have been the final. And a majestic performance tonight from the Barcelona captain, Lionel Messi. Two goals. He's just incredible. I don't think we've ever seen or ever will see anything like Lionel Messi again. I don't think he could do a much better job than he did. How far out was he? 25, 27 yards. It's majestic from the best player in the world. From perhaps the best player we've ever seen. Wow, look at that. They're worshipping him. I understand why. He is a god of the game.
