Americans can't even defeat Afghans, and they run away in the middle of the night.
How can they defeat the PLA?
If Americans still can't see the modernization of the military development in the mainland,
that's because Americans are pretending to be stupid or stupid.
The military development in the mainland is to surpass the United States,
not just to deal with Taiwan.
Because the current industrial production and manufacturing capacity in the mainland is far from being suppressed.
Who is this pro-communist?
Why does it feel like a natural bone?
Is it the CCP's big publicity, the Fifth Platoon?
Who says we can't win?
Today, I'm going to talk about a legendary story about the 75-year peace of Taiwan
It is also known as the Golden Gate Street,
and the key role of a Japanese man behind the battle.
On October 25-27, 1949, at the Golden Gate Street,
the PLA and the Communist Party of China
It can be said without exaggeration that
the battle of the Golden Gate Street is the most painful night in the history of the Communist Party of China.
It is also the pain that the Communist Party of China will never be able to erase.
As soon as the Korean War broke out,
the U.S. Seventh Fleet patrols the Taiwan Strait.
The military structure of East Asia has undergone a major reversal.
It can be said that the Golden Gate Street played the role of a small force to make a great contribution.
The battle of the Golden Gate Street also laid the psychological foundation for the Kuomintang to run Taiwan.
In 1949, the Kuomintang collapsed.
In this situation, the battle of the Golden Gate Street is like a strong heart needle
injecting the body of the KMT soldiers.
Some people compare the battle of the Golden Gate Street to the battle of Chili in Chinese history.
It's not an exaggeration.
Although the Golden Gate Street is only 2,310 meters away from the mainland,
the strategic position of the Golden Gate Street is too important.
The Golden Gate Street is Taiwan's bridgehead.
Jiang Jieshi once said,
without the Golden Gate Street, there is no Taipeng.
With Taiwan, there is the mainland.
In history, Zheng Chonggong and Shi Lang conquered Taiwan
and used the Golden Gate Street and Xiamen as their bridgehead and starting point.
General Liu Yazhou summarized the battle of the Golden Gate Street in his review of the Golden Gate Street.
In essence,
the battle of the Golden Gate Street is a two-stage landing and anti-landing battle.
It's the same as the war mode that will liberate Taiwan in the future.
Taiwan is the enlarged Golden Gate Street.
The 28th Army is the shrinking Chinese Army.
Many problems exposed in the battle of the Golden Gate Street still exist to a different extent today.
In the same way,
in the face of the tense situation on both sides,
today's battle of the Golden Gate Street
is also a reality for the Republic of China, which is always on guard against the other side.
Let's first look at the comparison between the commander and the military.
On the side of the national army,
the highest commander is Tang Enbo, the chairman of Fujian Province.
But the front-line combatants are Li Rongliang, the 22nd Regiment of the Golden Gate Street,
and Hu Lian, the 12th Regiment, who rushed to support.
The 22nd Regiment and the 12th Regiment each have 20,000 people,
with a total force of 40,000 people.
Especially Hu Lian,
he is a brave and resourceful general in the national army.
The 18th Army is the old-fashioned salute among the five kings of the Kuomintang.
In the TV series Liangjian, which was popular in the Western world,
there was a scene depicting the defeat of the Golden Gate Street.
It is said that Hu Lian,
the prototype of Chu Yunfei, the general of the Kuomintang,
Mao Zedong told his men
that Hu Lian, the 18th Army, is as fierce as a tiger and as agile as a tiger.
In 1977, Hu Lian died in Kinmen, Taiwan.
Two years later,
Fu Zilin, the former commander of the East China Field Army,
and three old generals
talked about Hu Lian and said
that he was a real Han general.
In addition to Hu Lian,
Li Liangrong, the 22nd Army, also made several contributions.
In Kuningtou, Yidianhong Beach,
large-scale hunting and anti-landing operations.
That's why there was a local counterattack
when the communist army took the opportunity to attack.
Before the exhibition,
Li Liangrong gathered more than a group of soldiers from the whole army.
Kinmen Island is a place of death in military history.
If you don't die to survive,
you will die without a burial place.
He even ordered to blow up all the ships
that were left by the sea.
It's a bit like the spirit of Chenzhou,
where you only know where to die and where to survive.
The commander of the communist army
was the commander of the three-leaf stone corps,
General Ye Fei.
This Ye Fei was originally a Filipino.
He was good at fighting in the civil war.
He met the stone corps,
Pingshandong,
Saohai Sea,
Crossing the Yangtze River,
Kefuzhou,
Gongxiamen,
and won many battles.
Later, he was appointed the governor of Fujian
and the commander of the navy.
He was known as Ye Fei.
The first-line commander
was Xiao Feng,
the deputy commander of the 28th Army of the Communist Army.
One of the 28th Army's reinforcements
The 29th Army's two regiments
This is the battle order issued by Xiao Feng at that time.
Now let's review the battle of that year.
For the failure of the Kinmen landing battle,
the People's Liberation Army also has a summary reason and a lesson.
One of the most important reasons
was that the Qing enemy landed from the top.
The communist army at that time
rushed from north to south all the way.
Since the battle of Xuben,
there has never been a decent resistance.
The main commander of the defense of Kinmen,
Tang Enbo,
is also a famous general.
He was defeated by the communist army,
so he was not taken seriously.
The 12th Corps, Hu Lian,
may have retreated to strengthen the intelligence of Kinmen,
and was overlooked.
Therefore, the highest commander of the battle of Kinmen,
Ye Fei,
after becoming the chairman of the Xiamen Military Commission,
was very confident in attacking Kinmen Island.
He thought that two battalions would be enough.
He said with confidence,
it seems that there will be no more battles in the mainland.
You 28th Army should sweep the tail.
Ye Fei used chopsticks to point at the dish when inviting the local leaders of Xiamen.
Kinmen is a piece of meat in this plate.
You can add it whenever you want.
You can't run away.
The first-line commander, Xiao Feng,
did not expect that the battle would be so fierce.
He set up the celebration wine in advance at the command post.
The requirements for the three main battalions were
that each person carried three days of oxygen
to solve the battle in one day.
The ship was not loaded with heavy weapons,
but with a few baskets of new-generation RMB,
and big flying pigs and office chairs.
After the victory, he prepared to drink the celebration wine.
The two main battalions were also very optimistic.
They said they would eat lunch when they entered Kinmen County.
Second, the battle was not well-prepared.
There are two principles for the traditional cross-sea battle.
They must follow.
First, the first attack must have a breakthrough line,
and a sufficient amount of strength for the development of the whole body.
The requirement for the cross-sea tool is very high.
Second, establish a stable position.
But due to the fact that Jiang Jieshi
blew up the civilian ships of the Fujian coast of Zhejiang in advance,
and even blew up the Shanghai shipyard,
there were at least five to six cross-sea vessels.
In the end, only three groups were collected,
and the battle began in a hurry.
There was not enough preparation before the battle,
and the cross-sea tool and shipwork were not enough,
resulting in no backup.
This is also one of the main reasons for the failure.
Third, due to the fact that only wooden ships cross the sea,
they could not carry heavy weapons.
And the 22 US M5A tanks of Li Rongliang and Hu Lian
became the gates of hell for the Communist army to land and fight.
Even the tank tank No. 66,
which was in a mess during the exercise,
also dealt heavy damage to the Communist army.
The firepower was more than a infantry company.
It was really amazing.
This tank was later known as the Golden Bear.
The so-called hand-to-hand combat must be defeated.
The Kuomintang's main force fought back.
If it didn't succeed, it would be defeated.
Then the problem came.
If it was defeated,
there would be no commander who had the courage and the plan.
Tang Enbo was a defeated general under the Communist army,
and he fled all the way to Kinmen.
Hu Lingtou knew the situation.
He called on Chiang Kai-shek to ask him to give up Kinmen Island.
However, Chiang Kai-shek strictly forbade him.
Kinmen could not stay there.
Hu Lingtou arrived at Kinmen Island
on the second day after the war was over.
Who was behind the battle of Kinmen?
Let's talk about the protagonist of today's story.
The real mastermind behind the battle of Kinmen
was a Japanese man.
Although he was a Japanese man,
for various reasons,
he never appeared in the history textbooks of the Republic of China.
Genbenbo was born in 1891.
He was a Japanese tutor.
He graduated from the Japanese Army Academy in 1923.
His highest rank was a Japanese army lieutenant.
From 1927 on,
Genbenbo served as the commander-in-chief of the 24th Division
of the elite Kwantung Army, the 5th division of the Nanjing Consulate.
After he surrendered in Japan,
he worked with the Soviet Union,
fought for three days,
and defeated the best Russian soldiers.
In 1945, Japan was defeated.
In October, Genbenbo signed the surrender letter
on behalf of the Japanese Army in Taihe Hall, Beijing.
In 18 years,
Genbenbo was a decent Chinese man
who was experienced in strategy and brave in battle.
The Japanese called him a strategic general.
But what really made Genbenbo famous
was his trip to Taiwan after the war.
In April 1949,
Genbenbo met a mysterious guest.
He was the son of the former Governor of Taiwan,
the famous Enoshima Ishinomaki Kiyotaka.
He was a Japanese businessman.
He was a regular at the Sambao Hall.
He said he was sent by General Kiyotaka
to help the Kuomintang
against the Chinese People's Liberation Army.
After his return,
Genbenbo decided to leave the martial arts world.
Why did he help General Kiyotaka?
Because Genbenbo was indebted to him.
First of all, after the surrender of Japan, Chiang Kai-shek showed mercy to the Japanese army in Tsinghua.
The 350,000 Japanese troops in the north of China were all sent back to China.
Second, Geng Ben-po himself was not sentenced as a war criminal.
He also brought his personal property back to China.
According to Geng Ben-po's memoirs,
before returning to China, Chiang Kai-shek once met him in the study.
At that time, the commander-in-chief of the 4th Division, General Shang Zhen,
and the other national army generals, such as the commander-in-chief of the war zone, General Sun Lianzhong, were all standing.
Chiang Kai-shek held his hand and asked him to sit down.
There was no arrogance that defeated him at all.
He was deeply grateful.
In early May 1949,
Geng Ben-po named himself Lin Bao-yuan,
led the six capable men of the time, such as Ji Chuan, Yuan San, and Zhong Zuo,
to travel seven people from the attack line of Jiuzhou, Yangang City,
and boarded a boat to Shanghai in the name of fishing.
When the Kuomintang was defeated,
Shanghai had fallen.
On the way to Shanghai,
he met a typhoon and was rescued by the U.S. military.
Finally, he boarded a U.S. warship
and came to Taiwan.
When he met seven Japanese military officers with military experience,
Chiang Kai-shek was overjoyed.
He asked them to immediately put on the national army uniform
and become military advisers
to assist Tang En-po in defending the Jinmen line.
Tang En-po was originally from Japan.
There was no problem in language communication.
So Geng Ben-po became Tang En-po's chief military adviser.
Tang En-po was obedient to Geng Ben-po.
After Geng Ben-po came to Jinmen,
he did two things based on his years of experience in dealing with the Communist Army.
First, Geng Ben-po persuaded Tang En-po
to withdraw the troops still on the mainland
as soon as possible to Yijiangshan Island, Dacheng Island, Jinmen, and Mazu,
which strengthened the strength of the Jinmen garrison.
Second, Tang En-po originally planned to land the Communist Army
on the sea, but was stopped by Geng Ben-po.
He advocated to let the Communist Army land first
and then surround the Communist Army with concentrated firepower.
The Air Force jointly attacked the sea-crossing tool,
cut off the back road, and draw the heart at the bottom of the lake.
What a pocket strategy!
The shape of Jinmen is like an elegant bell.
Since ancient times, it has been famous for its
striking form and the fact that it is as solid as gold.
After inspecting the terrain of Jinmen,
Geng Ben-po suggested that the two groups of the
Qinglian Army, which belonged to Sun Liren,
and the two groups of the 201st, 601st, and 602nd,
should be stationed at the back of the Qionglin Mountain,
at Longkou, Huwei, and Gu Ningtou,
especially at the coastline between
Longkou and Gu Ningtou, East and West Yidianhong.
The beach here is about five kilometers wide
and 500 to 600 meters deep.
It is the most likely place for the Communist Army to land.
Geng Ben-po requested that the tank troops
should strengthen the coordination between the
Qinglian Army and the 201st infantry.
In order to strengthen the defense formula,
the 201st Division Commander, Zheng Guo,
ordered the construction of landmines and
ordered the local villagers to donate
door panels, bricks, red soil, and work day and night.
Within three days, more than 200 landmines were completed.
Originally, Geng Ben-po also suggested
the construction of Japanese underground tunnels,
but due to the large number of projects,
it could not be carried out.
It was only later that the White Regiment
designed the Jinmen Underground Tunnel Defense Plan.
At 1.30 a.m. on October 25,
more than 200 Communist Army wooden landing ships
mostly modified by fishing boats
sent out the first echelon of three reinforced groups
They snatched landmines from the northwest coast of Jinmen
to consolidate the landmine head position
and cover the subsequent troops landing.
This is how the battle of Jinmen took place.
But the Communist Army is not good at sea battles
and is not familiar with the relationship between rising and retreating in the tide.
As a result, it caused the snatching of landmines.
When preparing to return to receive the second echelon,
they found that the tide had retreated to 10 meters offshore.
All the landmines were dead on the beach.
It was unbearable.
As expected, everything went according to Geng Ben-po's plan.
The Kuomintang Navy
on the northwest coast of Guningtou
on the morning of the second day
fiercely attacked the Communist Army landmines and troops.
Then, Tan En-po called for air support
from the General Commander of the Air Force, Zhou Zhirou.
With the advantage of air bombing,
the Communist Army landed the landmines.
The Air Force immediately launched
the B-24 heavy bomber
and the P-47 fighter jet.
The Communist Army landed the landmines
and charged forward.
Almost all the landmines were blown up.
On the other side of the sea,
tens of thousands of troops
watched the warships burn.
But there was nothing they could do.
When the Communist Army finally withdrew
and ordered to attack,
tens of thousands of soldiers rushed to the beach
and cried loudly,
shouting,
The besieged Communist Army
occupied the famous house of Guningtou
and engaged in the battle of Kunshou.
On the morning of the 26th,
General Li Lianglong,
the 22nd Corps of the Commander-in-Chief
took the lead
with 22 M5A1 tanks
and launched a fierce charge
In a fierce attack,
more than 1,300 Communists
encircled the coast
and were trapped
at the beach under the cliff
on the north coast of Guningtou.
The Kuomintang troops
followed Hubei highland,
Hunan highland,
and 132 highland
to advance northward
towards Guningtou
to compress the encirclement
and prepare all the Communists.
By October 27,
the overwhelming Communists
were completely defeated
and about 900 people
surrendered on the beach.
At this time,
Sun Yuxiu,
General-in-Chief of the 26th Corps
committed suicide
of Guningtou.
Liu Tianxiang,
Commander of the 251st Corps
and Xing Yongsheng,
General-in-Chief of the 26th Corps
died in the battle.
On October 27, 1949,
the news of the Golden Gate Festival
spread to Taipei.
Jiang Jieshi cried.
He needed a victory
and he knew the meaning
of the Golden Gate Festival.
Jiang was excited
and said to himself
that we won the battle
and Taiwan was safe.
This is the story of the Golden Gate Festival
and the 75th Battle of Bao'an and Jiang Jieshi.
According to the military expert
Huang Lizhen,
the battle of Guningtou
is similar to the battle
of Chidi
in history.
First, the strong side
was too hostile.
Second, they fought by the water.
Third, the weak side fought by the water.
Fourth, the result of the battle
determined the situation
for a long time.
The strategy of
General-in-Chief of the 26th Corps
Geng Benbo
and the leadership of Lin Zhen
played a key role
It was similar to the battle
of Chidi
and the battle of Feishui.
In June 1952,
General-in-Chief of the 26th Corps
Geng Benbo was appointed
and he made a great contribution.
To express his gratitude,
took apart
a special vase
and gave one of them
to Geng Benbo.
According to Wikipedia,
there were originally six vases,
three pairs.
One pair was given to
Queen Elizabeth
as a wedding gift.
The other pair was given to
the Emperor of Japan
The news of Geng Benbo's
crossing the Taiwan Strait
was extremely confidential.
In addition to national feelings and other factors,
it is not known whether the Japanese
who took part in the war
and the historical significance
of the war
even existed for a long time.
Well, that's all for today's story.
