Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid will face each other in the 2023-2024 Champions League final
The Dortmund vs Madrid match at Wembley Stadium in London England will kick off next week
On June 2 2024 at 02:00 West Indonesia Time
There are several interesting factors behind this match
One of them is the meeting between Madrid star Jude Bellingham and his former club
In addition there is also Last Dance featuring two German players Marco Reus and Toni Kroos
For Reus this will be his final match with Dortmund
For Kroos this will be his final match at the club level before retiring after Euro 2024
On their way to the final Dortmund has overcome several opponents
Including them is their city rival Atletico Madrid in the quarterfinals
Meanwhile Madrid this season has faced three German teams namely Union
Berlin RB Leipzig and the traditional rival Dortmund Bayern Munich
In this Bundesliga season Dortmund managed to finish in 5th place
Meanwhile Madrid emerged as champions in La Liga
Dortmund has only once won the European Cup Champions
League while Madrid holds the record with 14 titles
In the Champions League era Madrid has never lost a final
However Dortmund this season might be considered stronger in terms of defense
In the Champions League Dortmund recorded 6 clean sheets and conceded only 9 goals
Madrid has only managed 3 clean sheets and has already conceded 15 goals
Dortmund is Germany's last hope
Because in another European competition the Europa League Bayern Leverkusen lost
It's not going to be easy to beat Madrid
Madrid is more favored but anything is possible
For example Leverkusen and Atalanta
In this season's Europa League final Leverkusen was the favorite but Atalanta won
In the English FA Cup Manchester City was heavily favored but
Manchester United won That was a reminder for Madrid to be strong
