The Final Battle of the Fierce Queen

The Avoca pride of lions have been pushing ever deeper into the Monwanas’ territory, drawn by the rich hunting grounds on offer. Emboldened by strength in numbers, the 10 Avocas made the crucial mistake of underestimating the 4 Monwana females. A large female was isolated as the rest of the Avoca pride retreated back into the Timbavati Game Reserve, and relentlessly attacked by the Monwana females before being left for dead. Sightings like these are hard to witness, but by defending a territory ferociously, a pride ensures the safety of their cubs, and control over vital hunting grounds.
