Today I will be showing you 4 simple spring looks that you can out together with minimal fuss. I’ve also included some links, styling tips and advice that work well for me over the years.
Hello my beautiful souls and welcome back to the channel.
In today's video I'm going to be sharing with you four simple looks that you can
wear for the spring season. So if you haven't
already give the video a like, click that subscribe button and let's
just get into today's content. The first look in today's video is this
double denim inspired look. I've basically styled a loose cotton
shirt with a pair of crop jeans and added some tan heels for a smarter feel.
This is a simple but sweet outfit for spring.
The shirt is made from linen and this material is great because it lets air in
so you can feel cool while wearing it. I've gone ahead and added some jewelry
hair for an extra finish. I love the light blue color and as you
can see here I've tucked in the shirt and floated it over as I always do.
Spring is a season with much more light so I really would encourage you to
experiment with lighter shades especially when it comes to styling your
outfits. You can replicate this look by picking
one base color, in this case it's blue and finding items
of clothing in a darker or lighter shade to pair together. This
technique is known as color coordination and it's based on the color wheel. The
color wheel is a spectrum of shades, think red, yellow, orange, green, violet to
name a few, that connect to create a loop. Pairing
your items of clothing based on these color combinations will
ensure that your outfit will look coordinated
regardless of the color and shade. To finish the outfit
I have added these tan heels. As always you can swap out the heels for some
trainers but if you want a more spruced up or
getting ready to go out feel I would recommend some heels.
Find a comfy pair to wear and make sure it actually matches with your outfit.
Now these heels are similar to my skin tone and they go with the light blue
shade of the full outfit. Look number two
consists of a white shirt, khaki skirt and some yellow mules.
When I think of spring I automatically think of shirts
and so decided to wear this one with some brighter colors such as khaki
and yellow to keep the look fresh and modern.
This is another simple but stylish look that can easily be thrown together when
you are short on time. It's also an outfit that can be worn
from day to night. I'm all about the subtle details and
what I love about this khaki skirt is the wrap over style waist and of
course the fact that it has a pocket. These simple elements are unusual and
just make the outfit that bit more interesting.
Both items shown here are made of the same material
which is cotton so they complement each other really well.
Personally finding a skirt or a dress with pockets is a special kind of
If you know, you know. Not only does the skirt look good
but it is practical too. I've also used the pocket on the hip
to store my phone when I've worn this skirt out so
if you can find a skirt that has pockets it will do
wonders for you. To keep with the spring feel
I have worn these yellow mule heels which are unusual but stylish to wear.
Look number three is a neutrals classic and is more of a smart casual look.
This is another look that can go from day to night and is very comfy to wear.
The look consists of a blazer, shirt, loose fitting trousers and trainers.
I think it's spring appropriate because again it has lighter colors
and it's one of those looks that just make you feel confident while wearing it.
In terms of the materials this look features cotton and linen which are good
choices for spring attire. These breathable materials allow air
flow to keep you cool. Pairing a cotton shirt like I have done
here with these linen trousers helps to create a smart yet casual
spring outfit. To complete the look I pulled out these
white Reebok trainers. They are minimal but more importantly
comfortable to wear. I've always found that wearing trainers
adds a casual feel to a smart look so you get a nice
balance. And the final look in today's video
consists of a yellow jumper and white wide leg trousers and my Reebok
trainers. This basic look is great for spring.
I've opted for fresh colors that reflect the light nicely
and when combined this has a very youthful feel.
I also think that the fitted top and the wide leg trousers
create a nice contrast in terms of the proportions within the look.
It's a very simple outfit to put on so it will save you time and effort in the
morning which is an added bonus. Remember to
keep your jewelry and accessories minimal so as not to distract from the
outfit. So that sums up today's simple spring
looks content. I hope you found the video and the
styling tips helpful. Make sure you subscribe and I will see
you in my next one.
