Solo Moto Camping in New Hampshire

Hey everyone, it's me Tim, and today I'm waking up in southern Vermont at my campsite.
I got here pretty early yesterday and hung out.
Basically what's going to happen today is I'm going to leave camp, I'm going to explore
this dirt road.
It looks on the map like it goes all the way through and I'll be able to make it back to
civilization by going forward as opposed to returning the way that I came in.
So I'm going to check that out, see where that road goes, and then hopefully I'm going
to make it over to New Hampshire and I'm going to be camping over there at a different
dispersed campground that I found.
And again, I don't know what this one's going to be like, if it's going to be crowded, or
what's going to be going on there, because I'm just, I'm not too familiar with camping,
dispersed camping in the northeast.
I haven't really done too much of this.
So I'm pretty excited to see what this place has in store.
The one that I found last night called Somerset Airfield was pretty cool.
Definitely worth checking out in Vermont if you live in the New England area or if you
happen to be passing through, it's a definite, it's a good campsite for sure.
Anyways, I'm going to pack up, camp, finish my coffee, and hit the road.
Alright, we're off to see where this road will take us.
I'm hoping it doesn't get too rough.
I don't have crash bars on the bike yet.
They were backordered so it's going to take a couple weeks to get them.
Yeah, this bike did pretty good in the dirt yesterday.
The tires are pretty good.
It's been a pretty smooth, packed road.
I'm not anticipating it getting too rough, but we'll see.
So I just came up on an intersection here.
I think I want to take a left, I mean a right, sorry, I want to take a right and head east
because I'm heading towards New Hampshire.
They both, oh that one looks like a dead end anyway.
Well, I'm trying to head over to New Hampshire, which is over this way, past Stratton, and
then it looks like I'll hit another intersection right here and I'll have to take a right and
then a left.
Alright, it turned to dirt, so we're only about a quarter of a mile, but let me see.
I've got to check this out because I passed a sign that said, uh, you're supposed to have
a permit.
It does say something about permits.
It says, permit requirements, information on all permit requirements is available at
four service offices.
Well, I'm not going over there to find out, so I'm just going to try it and see what happens.
I'm sure it'll be fine.
Okay, it says it's right here.
Huh.
Well, that looks like a site.
Huh.
Maybe it's just any of the sites along the road.
I guess there isn't an actual campground.
I'd like to be at least a little bit off the road.
Let's see what's down here.
This will work.
Yeah, this looks pretty good.
So, I don't know if you can hear this, but there's actually some running water behind
the campsite that I picked out.
So, I'm going to go down there and check it out and see what it looks like.
Well, it's not the most beautiful water I've ever found, but that was pretty nice.
It'll be nice listening to that tonight as I fall asleep.
It's pretty peaceful.
It seems like a nice area so far.
I'm also down here kind of looking for evidence of bears.
There were signs about bears at that last place I stopped at, which I was pretty much
expecting.
Looking forward to tonight.
I think I might be able to have a fire too.
It looks like there's some firewood around.
I'm going to go ahead and wrap this video up here.
I'm going to go ahead and make some dinner and get a fire going and relax for the rest
of the night.
If you are looking for this campsite, this campground, it's called Tripoli Road Camping
Area in New Hampshire.
I'd definitely give it a vote of approval.
So far, so good.
I'll see how tonight goes, but if you're in the area and you're looking for places to
camp, specifically dispersed camping and free camping, this place is worth a check out.
So anyways, that's it for today.
Thanks for watching, and I'll see you in the next one.
Ride safe.
