Hey everyone, this is Adam Ellenbos from Nightlight Astrology.
Today we're going to take a look at the major astrological transits for the month of June.
Now if you're new to my channel, this is a sneak preview video where I take a little bit of time
to cover the transits pretty lightly, just giving you a sense of what's coming for the next month.
But then if you watch my channel as the month goes on, what you'll see is that each of the
transits I mention today, we look at in greater depth and detail as the month unfolds.
So this is kind of where we're heading on my channel in the month ahead video,
and it'll definitely give you a sense though of what the big transits are for the month
and the kind of themes that we're going to be working with.
I recommend pairing this of course with our monthly horoscopes, which give you a sense of
where the same kinds of transits I'm looking at in this overview will show up within the whole
sign houses of your birth chart. We recommend listening to that for your rising sign.
So anyway, that being said, our agenda for today is to look at the astrology of June.
Before we get into it, don't forget to like and subscribe, share your comments and reflections.
It really helps the channel to grow when you guys tell us what's going on in your own lives
or which transits have been a big deal for you. You can find a transcript of today's talk or any
of my daily talks on the website, which is nightlightastrology.com.
When you go over there, we have a couple of promotions.
The first promotion is my live talks. If you go to events and live talks,
you'll see that on June 13th, I'm giving a talk on the 12th house.
That is called The World We Struggle to See, and it is about the healing potential of the 12th house
in your birth chart. It's a very hands-on talk that'll be very useful for working with your
own birth chart. In July, I'm doing a talk on Uranus's entrance into Gemini.
And last month, I did a talk on Neptune and Aries that I think you guys would also really like.
You can go back and see the Outer Planets in Love series that we did as well.
Go to the courses page, first year course, Ancient Astrology for the Modern Mystic begins June 16th.
And if you need any help with need-based tuition at the bottom,
you can sign up and work within your budget if that would be something that helps you to take
the course because you otherwise maybe couldn't. We encourage people to use that if it helps to
make it affordable. Then we also have the Horary program.
Horary class also starts in June on the 22nd. That program, you can learn more about if you
stick around after today's video. There's an informational video I have tagged onto the end
of today's content where I tell you what Horary Astrology is, how it works, and I actually show
you an example of a Horary chart from my practice. So Horary also begins in June. Year 2, if you're
a Year 1 student, begins in June as well. So lots of good courses coming up. And as always,
we have need-based tuition for people to make sure that no one's priced out.
And so on that note, let us now turn our attention to the transits for the month of June.
So most of the major action in June, as I was saying, is in the Aries sign of Gemini.
Some squares happening to the watery sign of Pisces, some trines happening with respect to
between Jupiter in Gemini, Mercury in Gemini, and Pluto in Aquarius. A lot of what I'm saying
today will be similar themes reiterated across several different transits. So I'm going to say
some very general things, and then, as you know, again, if you watch my channel, we will be breaking
a lot of these aspects down into further depth and detail. Okay. So June 2nd through June 6th,
are a series of transits taking place that I want to draw your attention to.
You're going to see Jupiter in Gemini trining Pluto in Aquarius. Very shortly after, we will
have Mercury entering Gemini. And on the 4th, Mercury will then be trine to Pluto, and then
simultaneously will conjoin Jupiter. On the 4th, we also see that Venus is at the heart of the Sun,
or Kazemi. That is also taking place. This is kind of a big series of events happening between
the 2nd of the month and the 6th, when we then have a new moon in Gemini. So we get the new
moon in Gemini on the 6th of June, which means that between the 1st of June and the 6th, we have
Jupiter trine Pluto from Gemini to Aquarius. Mercury trine Pluto from Gemini to Aquarius.
Mercury can join Jupiter in Gemini. Venus-Kazemi in Gemini. And a new moon in Gemini. So how would
I summarize all of that, you know, briefly? And again, we'll break some of these down as we go,
but right away what I would say is that this month begins with a very distinct emphasis on
the air signs, which is really different from what we've been experiencing the first half of this
year, where there's been so much emphasis on developing the Jupiter-Uranus dynamic in Taurus.
We're very earthy, very Venusian, very sensual, very feminine. Now we're moving into a space that's
very heady. It's very airy. It's very social. It's very communicative. It works in the realm of ideas,
thoughts, social and mental stimulation. And we see all of this congregating in Gemini, a sign
that is playful and curious, that likes to work with and move back and forth flexibly and fluidly
among opposites, that likes to experiment and explore with taking things apart and putting them
back together. And with a significant series of trines from Gemini to Aquarius, we're also thinking
about tinkering with or playing with big thought structures or systems, which could include things
like technology or the social systems and structures of your life, or that's almost like
you're laying out the blueprints for something and really fiddling around with the details,
maybe even having fun playing with different variations of plans and systems or structures
in your life that are existing right now on the level of almost like a schematic.
But the point is that there's a lot of stimulation socially and mentally at the beginning of this
month. And the idea is that this movement in the mind, this movement among your relationships is
stimulating new ways of looking at things, new perceptions, and maybe new ways of implementing
things, new organizational strategies, new uses or implementations of technology, and new people
that might become new friends or allies could also be a part of this. So I really love the emphasis
on air at the beginning of the month. I think that airy quality is like a busy beehive or a
bohemian coffee shop filled with thinkers and artists. It feels very exciting, especially
Venus Kazemi, too, at the heart of the sun. It's like artistic but also intellectual at the same
time. So interesting energies to start the month. And again, we'll be looking at those more in depth
here next week. On June 8th, we then start the series of squares between Gemini and Pisces. Let's
look at some of these all together. So on June 8th, we will then have right here, you can see
the Sun and Venus will move into squares with Saturn. So on June 8th, Venus squares Saturn. On
June 9th, the Sun will square Saturn in Pisces. So right away, this is going to repeat through
Mercury eventually squaring as well. And then these two planets will both square Neptune,
and then Mercury will square Neptune. So there's a bunch of squares now taking place between
Mercury, Sun, and Venus, and Saturn, and Neptune, and Pisces.
Overall, I would say when you combine air and water, what you're really talking about is heightened
emotional intelligence. Or you're talking about the struggle between the rational and the sensual
and the emotional. You're looking at the sensual, the emotional, the romantic, and the imaginative
in contrast to the level of Gemini, like the mind, and the rational and the deconstructive
tendencies of the analytical mind. So when you put the two together, the greatest potential
is something like the quality of emotional intelligence, where ideas and empathy meet,
or where sensitivity and careful discriminating intellectual qualities work together,
rather than being in conflict with one another. But it is also quite possible that the conflict
between these qualities, you'll start to feel it more intensely. So watch for these first two
transits between Sun, Venus, and Saturn to be pronounced. This could place a little strain
on our relationships, as there's a very sort of fun, flirtatious, flexible quality from Venus
and the Sun together, very bubbly and bright. Venus is, of course, being reborn at this time,
coming off from the Kazemi. And the square with Saturn, which in Pisces could be a little
theatrical or a little melancholic, and may also ask us to be a little bit more serious or be a
little bit more careful or thoughtful, to be considerate of complexities and emotional nuances
and needs coming from other people or from ourselves. So an interesting series of squares
that settles in around this time. There's another interesting transit that pops up right about this
time as well. On June 11th, Mars will enter earthy Taurus and make a square to Pluto in Aquarius.
Now, I like this because when you get Mars in an earth sign, it's like a bulldozer. It's like,
let's move things. Let's build things. There is an eagerness to take effort and will,
determination, force, vigor, all Mars qualities, and use them to move and shape Earth. So it's very
practical, hardworking, industrious placement for Mars. Of course, Mars can be a little bit like the
bull in the China shop in the sign of Taurus, where even if the end result is to build something
beautiful, you have to be careful that you don't steamroll things in the process or that you don't
become so set on building things that you don't become a little heavy handed somehow. But Mars
squaring Pluto is going to receive a very strong, enlivening and empowering force from Pluto as
well. So the Mars square Pluto dynamic on June 11th is a little explosive, like potentially a
time where willpower and force and a kind of domineering energy is something we have to be a
little bit careful of or notice around us, being aware not to get into unnecessary conflicts or to
exert our will in ways that are a little destructive or again, heavy handed.
But it's also very effective when it comes to getting things done. And this also suggests to
me that we are implementing plans. There's a strong quality here, all the trines from air
at the beginning of the month and then Mars moving into an Earth sign, you get the feeling that we
are, that there are these kind of ideas that are looking to be implemented and to shape and shift
and change things in very earthy ways. And that is due to the fact that all of these planets in
Gemini are coming right off from the Jupiter Uranus conjunction in Taurus and now Mars and
Taurus will be going through and once again, sort of reiterating the pattern. Well, then we can see
the same kind of square from Mercury to Saturn, Gemini and Pisces, that comes through on the 12th.
You can see same dynamic, the air and the water. You think of the synthesis, the potential for
something like emotional intelligence, but also we might be looking at limitations or blocks or
frustrating dynamics around communication and mental, emotional kind of dynamics that can be
a little bit more rocky. On June 14th, Mercury is Kazemi. So now we have this great empowered
reset moment for Mercury. Mercury is of course protected from combustion all month by virtue of
being in its own chariot. Kind of a reset empowered moment for Mercury right here. And then we start
moving into the squares with Neptune. So Venus will square Neptune on the 16th. I like this as
a very playful romantic energy between Gemini and Pisces, although some potential for delusion and
mischief is there, I would say, a little intoxicating. And then we see Mercury square
Neptune on the 17th. Of course, then we see Mercury conjoined Venus on the 17th in watery
Cancer. And there's a lot of water energy that starts coming in right around that time. The
Moon will also be in Scorpio on that day. Mercury conjoined Venus and Cancer will get its own
treatment later in the month. Things become a lot more watery and again, sort of emotional and
fluid and romantic. And those are all coming off, of course, from the squares to Neptune. So things
keep getting more and more watery from those squares to Neptune onward in the month. Sun
squares Neptune on the 20th. And then of course, what does the Sun do right after it squares watery
Neptune and Pisces? Moves into Cancer and it's the summer solstice. Then we get a full Moon and
Capricorn coming through on the 21st. You can see that full Moon right about here. Here's the full
Moon and Cap. That Cancer-Capricorn axis will be highlighted in the full Moon toward the end of
June. We'll be covering that in depth. But the Moon does shift. It's pretty airy early in the month.
It gets very watery by the end of the month. And it really gets watery as all those planets pass
the gateway from the Gemini squares to Neptune and Pisces. That's interesting. And then maybe
one of the most exciting trines of the month is on June 26th. On June 26th, we'll see a trine from
Mercury in Cancer to Saturn in Pisces. And again, to me, this speaks to the fact... I love that.
There are so many dynamics between Gemini and Pisces throughout the month that speak to that
theme of needing to bridge the mind and the emotional body. The nurturing, instinctual,
feminine, relational dimension of things with the cognitive, playful, deconstructive,
probing, and explorative intellectual side of things. Those two energies are trying to work
it out with one another in the earlier part of the month. And they may be running into some
problems. Whereas by the very end of the month, Mercury is now in a water sign trining Saturn
in Pisces and thus harmonizing. So I feel like the mental and emotional conflict that you see
in the air this month is really harmonizing itself together very nicely by the end of the month.
So that is a little preview of where the month is heading. And again,
if you watch my channel as the month goes on, we'll be looking at each of those transits in
depth so that we can turn the archetypal jewel. And some of those we'll be looking at in multiple
videos. Stay tuned for horoscopes as well. Alex will be helping me break down all the horoscopes
for the month of June. And we'll be looking at some of those placements across the Gemini-Pisces
axis as well as the Jupiter-Pluto trine. And we'll be doing that by whole sign house placements.
We recommend of course listening to your rising sign. But you can check that video out as well
for more on the month of June. That's it for today. If you stick around, you can learn more
about the upcoming Horary program, learn more about what Horary is. If you've never heard about
it before, you can see me do a Horary reading after I sign off. And yeah, that's it for today.
Hope you guys are having a good one and we will see you again tomorrow. Bye everyone.
of astrology. And it is a branch of astrology that is concerned with specific predictive questions.
So for example, a Horary question is usually formed in terms of a yes or no answer. And it is
cast from the location of the astrologer at the time that the astrologer receives the question.
So a typical Horary question might be, will I get the job? Or will we get married? Or my cat
went missing, will she come back? There are applications of Horary astrology that involve
the location of missing items, like where is my missing pen? Or where is, I actually helped a
farmer one time locate a missing bull that had gotten out of the pasture. So it's a really,
really fascinating form of astrology. It's very old and it is like the birth chart of a
question, a predictive question. So again, if I receive a question from someone and it's like,
will I get the job? Then I cast that chart at the time I get the question. I usually use the
receipt of the email time. And then I cast a chart for that question. And there are a series
of traditional techniques that have been around for a very long time, thousands of years that
are used to determine the answer to that question. So with that in mind, let me show you
a chart and you can learn, see what it's like in real time. So this chart is, the question that was
asked is, will my spouse keep his job? This is a woman who had some very good reason to worry
that her spouse might be getting laid off. And so she wanted to know, so she could prepare herself,
is he in fact going to be laid off from his job? And so when I receive that question,
that's a horary question. When I receive it at 9.03 AM on April 10th of 2023, a little over a
year ago here in Minnetonka, Minnesota, where I live, I cast a chart that becomes the birth chart
of that question. I then use a series of techniques and that's what you're going to learn in the
horary program are those techniques that go into answering all different kinds of questions,
questions about jobs, questions about money, questions about health, questions about marriage
or relationships, questions about babies, questions about in pregnancy. I mean, you name it.
And even missing pets and people and missing items, you see a lot of different approaches in
horary. And so over the course of a year, we study those approaches to different kinds of questions
and we practice and practice with different charts of different questions, learning the
techniques so that we can have this predictive tool in our kit as an astrologer. So anyway,
here's a question, will spouse keep his job? In horary, what happens is you are always looking at
the planets that represent the people and aspects of the question. The person asking the question
is called the querent. The querent is always given the ruler of the ascendant and usually the moon
as a co-signifier of the querent. So in this case, Gemini is rising. So we're going to give
Mercury to the querent and the moon. We can see the moon is sitting right on the cusp of the
seventh house of marriage, which shows us that the querent, the person asking the question,
is indeed really concerned about their spouse. The placement of the moon gives that away because
it's sitting on the cusp of the seventh, which is going to be the house of the partner.
So you see little things like that. They're a little wink that you have a radical chart,
so to speak. Now, the seventh house ruler is going to be the spouse. That's Jupiter since Sagittarius
sits on the seventh house cusp. In horary, we use quadrant-based houses because the theory was all
developed through quadrant-based house systems, which is interesting. This is the only place in
my practice that I teach from and use a quadrant-based house system, not whole sign. Anyway,
it's really fascinating to look at this chart because Jupiter is going to represent the spouse.
We see Jupiter over here about to be conjoined by the sun. Then we look at the spouse's job,
and the spouse's job is going to be the tenth house from the spouse. The tenth house from the
seventh is going to be the ruler of the fourth. That's called derived houses. This is something
that appears in horary quite a bit. So if we take the spouse's house one and we count one through
ten from house seven, we get to the cusp of house four for the tenth from the seventh or the spouse's
job. That is the sun. So here we see that the sun, exalted sun in Aries, is about to conjoin
Jupiter. This means that Jupiter is combust, and when Jupiter is combust like that so badly and
the sun is about to conjoin it, that is a moment of death for Jupiter. So the job, we know that
combustion from a planet like that is often implied in the charts of death or that's a condition of
debility for Jupiter at the hands of the exalted sun. And Jupiter is, of course, sitting on the
twelfth house cusp, which is the derived sixth from the seventh house of the spouse, a place that
was associated with misfortune. So we can see that this is a very clear indication that Jupiter is
being debilitated by, burnt up by the job, and that moment that's coming of the conjunction
could be positively looked at as maybe a death and rebirth of your career, but the first thing
that's happening is the death. When it is a possibility built into the question that he
could be one of the people that's about to be laid off at his company, and you have this kind of
symbolism, this is very clearly a yes, your husband is about to be laid off because of that combustion
and the upcoming combustion and conjunction from the sun. Now you might say, what about
Kazemi? Doesn't the Kazemi mean like a rebirth? Yeah, but not first, right? The first thing that
happens is that Jupiter is being burnt up by the sun. When the sun is the job and Jupiter is the
spouse and there is a possibility that this kind of event happens, then yes, that is exactly what
happens. We can also see if we take out the outer planets, which is something we toggle back and
forth in our horary class. We take out the outer planets and we can also see that the very next
thing that is going to happen is the moon, as an indicator of the flow of events, is about to trine
the sun and then immediately hit Jupiter, which means that the moon is also translating the light
from the sun to Jupiter. When the sun is acting here as a malefic, burning Jupiter up, this is
another sign that the flow of events is going to lead that malefic sun to eliminate Jupiter.
The malefic sun only in this context because the sun is Jupiter's combust.
So anyway, these are little rules of horary and there's a ton of them, right? For every different
kind of question, there are different ways of assigning planets to the parts of a question
and there are different techniques that we use to answer the question. In that case,
the judgment of the chart was it does look as though your husband is going to be laid off
and indeed that was the outcome. Her husband was laid off within a week.
So the way that I framed it in the answer was very uplifting because I said,
when we see this kind of event, a Jupiter-sun Kazemi, which we've had in the sky recently,
just now too as I'm making this, that can be a sign of rebirth. So even if there's a death and
loss here of job, the opportunity for this to be a career reset is also implied by the transition
of this Jupiter-sun conjunction. And she did write to me later in the summer last year
to tell me that he found a new job. And it was indeed a positive reset.
So half of the art of horary is delivering the news. How do you deliver a predictive result
without increasing someone's anxiety in a way that's constructive? How do we take what we see
and translate it for someone when the question is predictive? People have a lot of emotion invested
in the outcome. So this is a beautiful form of astrology. If you are interested in studying it,
here is how to register. You go over to the website which is nightlightastrology.com
and you are going to go to the courses page. And when you're on the courses page, you're going to
click on the horary course. You need to have a background in understanding dignities, aspects,
and house meanings. And then it starts on June 22nd. At the bottom, you will find that there is
need-based tuition assistance and there are also payment plans that you can utilize. And a one-time
payment saves a little bit of money. But if you need tuition assistance because it would be
impossible for you to take the program otherwise, please be sure to check that out and come study
horary. It's an amazing, amazing form of astrology. If I could do nothing but practice horary,
I would because it is so interesting to see the unique picture of each situation come to life in
the context of a horary reading. There's no birth chart needed for it either. It's amazing that
astrology can work that way. We always think, oh, it has to work off from a birth chart. No,
no, no. We can use astrology just like we use tarot cards. Cast them out at the moment a unique
question comes up. Cast a chart at the moment of a question and you have a series of techniques
and approaches that can help you answer it. So that's horary in a nutshell. I hope to see you
guys there and thanks for listening. Bye.
