TRAFFIC: Northbound lanes of South End Bridge closed this weekend

we have an update on the South End Bridge construction that may be changing your plans this weekend 22 news reporter Heath calb is live in studio with the detours you can expect when traveling through that area and Nick a temporary closure will be in effect on the Northbound side of the Southend bridge and this is going to impact drivers heading in the direction of agam from Springfield this weekend now resurfacing work will be completed overnight from this Friday through Monday June 3rd from 11:00 p.m. through 5:00 a.m. those traveling i91 south will use exit 5B and follow the Memorial Bridge westbound Route 5 for I 291 West to 91 South drivers will be detoured to i91 Northbound through exit 7B to follow Route 20 west over the North End Bridge and for I 91 North traffic will use exit 5 to East Columbus ad AV and head over the Memorial Bridge West Route 5 I spoke to One driver today who used the Southend bridge for work and he says he's tired of all this construction you know I got to get to work you know all the construction just just a it's a lot I usually if if if I can see it if there's a bunch of traffic on the exit there I'll just take the highway to the other bridge and as of now before the total closure cars heading in the Northbound section of the bridge have to move into one lane causing conjection congestion and a Slowdown for drivers now it is expected that this resurfacing work will be done on the other side of the bridge the following weekend and drivers should of course expect delays and always use caution working for you I'm Heath calb 22 News news
