Kobol-Picon II Experiment December 2023 NTC

This video highlights how DoD Test Resource Management Center (TRMC) and its mission partners use experimentation and modernized test infrastructure services to further the science of T&E for Autonomous and AI systems.

In December 2023, a squad of Marines, augmented by over one hundred AI and autonomous systems (provided by the Office of Naval Research) went up against a superior, all-human professional force. The USMC Human-Machine-Squad achieved their assigned mission over a sustained 48-hour battle against this superior mechanized enemy force. Our ADAS team provided all the test infrastructure and services to support the conduct of this experiment at the National Training Center at Fort Irwin, California.
