Brandon Roy took the league by storm as a 22-year-old from Washington before having his career cut short by injuries.

Before Brandon Roy was an NBA lottery pick with one of the greatest “what if?” stories in league history, he was a late bloomer who didn’t turn heads until his senior season with the Washington Huskies. During his first three campaigns, Roy showed no semblance to the player he’d soon become. He was underwhelming yet consistent, averaging 11.6 points a night on 51.5 percent shooting from the field.
